I'm doing this with a game right now. It's normal, even with a hardcore gamer like I am. A lot of times I feel half-assed to go buy and play a game.

Don't feel bad, it's not a crime if you want to know the storyline of a game and not play it. :D

I know I'm going to regret this but...

I honestly can't see what makes people either vehemently hate Shirley or love her. Can someone clue me in? I'm not trying to be snarkly, I'm just curious here.

I was never a big Shirley fan because I felt that the writers kind of gave up on her. With the whole Mao incident, that could have been taken much further...sure, she really angsts for a episode or two and then tries to kill Lelouche, but it was all dealt with so quickly and ended quickly to boot so I was just left feeling cold. And sure, we know that Shirley really liked Lelouch, but are we actually given any evidence to support that other than...she does? They barely hung out, and they show us pictures of them together but since I never see them actually do many things together I just...I don't know, I was just wanting more.

Same with her losing her memory but coming across the diary she wrote about Lelouch being Zero. They didn't actually do anything with it. That's why I was actually getting excited when she got her memory back and was freaking out (though I wish that her decision to forgive Lelouch took more time yet again), because it seems they were actually going to do something with her relationship with him besides making it a convenient way for Lelouch to angst.

I don't know, she just seemed never to get to the point that I could care too much about her aside from being disappointed. Maybe that's just me though. Crap, long comment is long.

113: Hahaha, this makes me laugh. What makes me laugh more are the people who think it'll mean this community gets banned. I think Alyson Hannigan and Alexis Denisof are used to far, far creepier things than someone potentially cracking onto them in a supermarket.

122. I remember loving Short Circuit when I was little, and it was the first thing I thought of when I first saw the ads for Wall-E too.

127. I believe that every single person in that film gave an outstanding performance. That being said... Harvey was the one to actually inspire me to write a poem for his character. LOL.

130. I do ship them... kind of... but I don't see anywhere where it's listed as a requirement. Everyone's interpretation is just as valid.

132. Well... y'know... there are certain warnings I myself find excessive. But the least you can do is warn for dark themes, graphic violence, and highly sensitive subject matter. Sometimes it's not about sensitivity. Sometimes it's just about what people want to read. (Though rape is one of the few things I will always warn for because... well... PTS and stuff...)

It's amazing how defensive people are when it comes to their baby shows. Guys, TTGL is interpreted differently by everyone, stop thinking yours is the only one true way.

OP, I think you have a point. I don't agree completely, and I didn't even like the show, but I can see where you're coming from.

Before I get linkes the "BROTHER IS DEAD! HE'S NO LONGER HERE!" clip, even that can be interpreted differently. Is he saying he can live without Kamina, or saying he will live for Kamina's sake? Kamina's memory is what breaks Simon out of the alternate world. It's a pretty easy point to argue.

I just want Karolina to decide that she loves Xavin, not just girl!Xavin. I know that sexual attraction is important, but she seems to hate Xavin when s/he's in a male form, and be all cutesy when s/he's female.
I really like Xavin, though. :D

102. The sheer rightness of this is absolutely astounding. I can't believe I never saw it before, but yes. Damaged genius with difficult remembering how (other) humans interact with each other being kept in line by a smart, sassy woman with no real romantic interest. Hey, they both even get to have a sweet, dorky guy who loves 'em (I stand firm in my belief that Disher was so in love with Sharona).

145. I love Idina, but I'm excited to see whoever the lead is in London. There's only one musical role that I realised I can't really take anyone else in (the understudy was good, but the original is inspired), but it's not likely to go touring or make Broadway, and it just ended, so it's all a moot point.

148. I'm really more inclined to believe that the Doctor never really loved a human until he too up with Jamie, and that it was Jamie, primarily (though Ian and Barbra a bit as well) who is responsible for his great love of the human race, and his faith in them.

164. I am just so sick of seeing Doctor Who things that involve "The Rosefen would be sad, and that would make me happy!" or the equivilant. Y'know, Rose actually handled things fairly well, given the weirdness-plus-relationship-plus-world-ending-again getting thrown at her in a very short time. She liked Donna, and she even liked Martha, from what she saw. And for that matter, even Rose's fans actually like other companions as well.
