Yeah they were revealed as large plot points but all the information I got about the book was "Howl/Sophie" also and I can vaguely recall being disappointed that we had no real interaction between Howl and Sophie and did not delve deeper into either character. Thats all I was trying to say I think I probably should have worded my statement differently though ;)
