Not every fic has LS!Fem!Revan as a boring protagonist, though. Not to toot my own horn here, but I've always seen my own as a Lightsider who likes to be a wiseass and sarcastic, even as she's saving the galaxy.

I'd agree with the KOTOR II sentiment if Bao-Dur wasn't there. More Fem!Exile/Bao-Dur, please.

148: Well, it goes without saying that not every person who likes yaoi does the shit you describe, but I can certainly understand your complaints- and agree, to some extent. Part of it is just the maturity level of the people in fandom (let's assume that the majority of yaoi fangirls are teenagers), and part of it is that even older fangirls still act that way because they don't know any better. I'm generalizing about teenagers here though, so pardon me, but the point remains. Sometimes fans don't know any better, or haven't seen fandom portrayed in any other, more constructive ways.
Then again, when you have fans that know better.. it's a different story.
(I'm a hypocrite too, since I do throughly enjoy my fandoms and sometimes act silly too, but tl;dr, I basically agree with you)

135. I knew absolutely nothing about it when I picked up the first book, and I couldn't make it past about chapter fifteen. It wasn't the sparkly vampire bit that threw me off, it was the obsessive relationship. I cannot stand Bella/Edward, because their relationship is so wrong and it's portrayed as perfect.

135. I enjoyed Twilight and read it in 3 nights, which is unusual for me since I am a slow reader. That being said, the entire time I was reading it I thought I was reading some half-assed fanfic. Seriously. Some of the fanfiction is written better than the actual novel.

107. I didn't go to Comic Con, but I've read all the detailed spoiler rundowns of the episode that I can get my hands on, and I'm not hugely impressed, either. It doesn't sound awful, but I'm a little mystified that everyone's in such an uproar over it. Hopefully the second hour of the episode will be better than the first.

I think much of the uproar was over the fact that it was 'OMG NEW HEROES' and less that it was great quality Heroes. I think now that the buzz has worn off, the excitement over how awesome it was has dimmed.
