It's one of my favourite pairings too, and I used to be in an abusive relationship myself. One of the main reasons I love it is because of how much I relate to Harley - they did an excellent job of portraying it. It shouldn't make you feel guilty; they have one of the most interesting dynamics in any fandom; liking it doesn't mean you condone abusive relationships IRL.

150. LOL, wow. Who watches the watchmen? Did it really take you that long? Adrian is the watchman without anyone looking over his shoulder and saying he's made the right decisions. If he doesn't watch out, he could end up worse than the crisis he was trying to prevent (parallel: the sacking of the town by the pirates) and become a monster himself.

150. I'm a huge fan, but at this point, I usually skim through the Black Freighter chapters. There's brilliant parallelism in Watchmen, and then there's Moore beating you over the head with how clever he is.

Psyched about the DVD though, if only for Gerard Butler. :D!

Haven't read all the secrets, but I want to comment on this one as early as I can.

IANAL, but defamation law is a bit more nuanced than that when the person allegedly being defamed is a public figure. If it goes to court you have to prove all sorts of tricky little matters of intent, like "wreckless disregard for the truth" and so on. If it's difficult enough that the National Enquirer has made it this long without being pummeled into the ground by lawsuits, you really can't say so definitively that the site in question is breaking the law.

I mean, I never liked that site much either. I'm just saying.
