YES! Rose/Nine will always be my favorite. I like ten enough, but he doesn't have the angst that nine does, and it felt to me like he got handed a pre-made relationship with Rose. Nine had to work for it, and give up his life for it. I miss nine.

138. My feelings are, if you leave a fic on the Web, people have every right to badger for more. Of course writers have lives outside of fanfiction, but it’s not a big deal to turn off email notifications if you’re getting too many of them. If it bugs you, take your story off the Web. You can’t control what they do, only what you do. And chastising them for being annoying makes as much sense as kicking a dog for not getting out of your way.

ETA: I've completely withdrawn from the section of Doctor Who fandom I've been hanging around in for years. There's a lot about it I don't miss one bit. But gods, I miss teh funneh. "PC Handy"?! FTW!

It's not analogous to sexual assault, which has no redeeming fatures whatsoever, but to life-saving medical treatment given against the patients' wishes, which is more morally ambiguous. The Doctor can't bear to watch Donna die; he'd rather give up her companionship. It's selfish and generous, which rape could never be.
