101. I used to write fan-poems and post them to FF.N, but then I realized it made me sound like an emo kid who wears too much eyeliner. Then I decided just to post cracky fandom limericks in my LJ.
108. Everyone who does something stupid and embarrassing related to fandom, raise your hand!
109. You are definitely not alone.
126. All Girls Want Bad Boys (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AllGirlsWantBadBoys), anyone?
128. Most adorable secret ever.
135. OMFG YES
140. Awesome.
153. I read that back in the day!
159. That’s ironically awesome. And glad to see you’ve overcome your dislike of German!
175. Wow. I don’t know what to say, really…except good for you to have found some way to get to sleep.

107 - I think I bought that book and never read it. Might have to go searching for it. Thanks for the reminder.

As for the strange "Twilight" phenomena: if you say vampires and "Twilight" to me, I think Maggie Shayne who wrote a series of vampire stories with the word Twilight in the title. "Twilight Phantasies", "Twilight Memories", and "Twilight Illusions" to name but three.

It's a shame the Stephenie Meyer books have "stolen" that identity. And, yes, the Maggie Shayne books were published first.

As hawt (and genuinely nice) as he is, a part of me is kind of sad that you cropped the (equally hawt) Dollie out of that picture ^^;; they worked waaaay too well off of each other IMO.

[identity profile] onidori.livejournal.com 2008-08-12 11:20 pm (UTC)(link)
140. UM that's awesome. I tell my friends about the weird dreams I have all the time. D:

[identity profile] solid-marmot.livejournal.com 2008-08-12 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
122. OMG ME TOO

133. AKSJDGASKGHASJGHJASDGKASGHJAKSDG I. LOVE. YOU. SO MUCH.

158. SO CUTE ;__;

163. I love tons of video games but I swear to god I've played FFX probably a hundred times. 8D I'M A SUCKER FOR THE FEMALES.

164. THAT'S REALLY KIND OF FUCKING AWESOME

169. Me too!!! ; o ;

178. I had sleep deprivation psychosis for two months. If my body had continued to not allow me to sleep, I would have gone on a killing spree and then have killed myself--I had it all planned out. Words can't describe how badly I feel for Ledger, even if I don't know the whole story.

*hug* :(

Yes, yes you will. I cried for almost half an hour afterwards.

Have you read "As Meat Loves Salt"?

No, I haven't -- did O'Neill write that as well? (Wait, I have an internet, I can look it up myself!)

Anyway, is it good?

135. HELL YEAH. That's my favorite Robot Chicken sketch EVER (and I'm not even a Boba Fett fan)!

150. Story of my life. I end up playing backseat gamer to my boyfriend a lot.

136. That show has profoundly affected my life and I am afraid to even start watching the fifth season because I don't want it to be over. :(

151) A. he's an N64 fan
B. He eats enough for a small country.

That makes him all right in my book!!

(As far sa his acting goes, he's better than many on TV. And at the very least, it is fun to see his character chop off heads and stuff.)

He demanded that a flocked lj with moderated membership be terminated. I'm not sure that's something to be proud of, but the OP thinks so. *shrug*

I dunno why no one else has said anything, so I'll go ahead.
1.) YAY! SPACED SECRET!
2.) Gosh, I wish I had a Tim. He's dorky but not goofy and just the right combination of mature and immature.

If the OP sees this, may I ask why you want it the other way around?

Re: 115

(Anonymous) 2008-08-13 07:02 am (UTC)(link)
Basically, because I am a lot - A LOT - like Daisy, it's a case of over-identifying, almost. I'm too hard on her bad habits and the like because they reflect my own, whereas I'm more willing to go easy on Tim's faults because they come off as quirky and what you said about mature/immature.

I didn't even realize their relationship mirrored ours (minus the drugs and romance) until a few weeks ago, and we're moving in together in two weeks. I don't know whether to tell him I see it as our relationship.

Isaac Hayes left South Park because of an episode about Scientology (he is a Scientologist). Apparently, offending every other belief system is okay, but he draws the line at his own religion. And yes, it IS funny. Voicing him with old clips just made his final episode more hilarious, making him a pedophile (and equating it with Scientology) was fucking amazing, and it was a good "final" show for him. Seriously, what did he expect after working on South Park for years and years?

Me: Wait, Bob Dylan isn't dead.
Me: ... hold on, what was the line in that one song?
Me: What song?
Me: "A Simple Desultory Philippic (Or How I Was Robert McNamara'd Into Submission)"
Paul Simon: I knew a man, his brain was so small, He couldn't think of nothing at all. He's not the same as you and me. He doesn't dig poetry. He's so unhip when you say Dylan, he thinks you're talking about Dylan Thomas, whoever he was. The man ain't got no culture, but it's alright, ma, everybody must get stoned.
Me: Okay, so Dylan Thomas, eh? He died in....
Wikipedia: 1953.
Me: 1953. Whoever he was.

170- Harry Mason is awesome and all, but I don't think I want a dad who has a vocabulary consisting solely of 'Radio? What's up with that radio?', 'wut' and 'LOOKING FOR MY DAUGHTER SHORT BLACK HAIR JUST TURNED SEVEN HAVE YOU SEEN HER SO HELP ME GOD IF YOU'VE HURT HER I'LL STAB YOUR EYES OUT'

Let me guess...not a musical fan, then?

133, 167

[identity profile] litterthisheart.livejournal.com 2008-08-12 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
133. ME FUCKING TOO. Finally, someone else who thinks Maggie is hotter than all those boys.

167. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Thank you for that awesomely cracked out image.

168

[identity profile] concretesphinx.livejournal.com 2008-08-12 11:58 pm (UTC)(link)
I walked out of that show wanting to vomit. The book has its flaws, nothing's perfect. But the musical is like a 12 year old skimmed the novel and then wrote an AU songfic.
But then again, unless you're talking Sondheim, all musicals are pandering tripe. So we really shouldn't have been surprised.
(Also, i don't think Maguire could be honest if he hated it. I think he put on a good face because he got a lot of cash and i'm sure it drives up his book sales.)

Dude, way to generalize.

140. I would tell my friends about this. That is fucking awesome and it needs to be made into its own...something. Book/series/movie/flash cartoon/ANYTHING.

[identity profile] underthered.livejournal.com 2008-08-12 11:58 pm (UTC)(link)
101. I’ve long held that execution in poetry is far more important than the writer’s intended meaning. If a poem is written the right way you can take whatever meaning you want from it. Sometimes, if I’m moved by a character’s story, I’ll write a poem about it to get that feeling out. I just try not to make it cripplingly obvious that its about that character or fandom.

138. Sure, Meyer’s Mormon. But the next time someone gives you a hard time for being raised Mormon, here’s a short list of other Mormons (thank you, Wikipedia): Orson Scott Card, Aaron Eckhart, The Killers’ Brandon Flowers, Philo T. Farnsworth (inventor of television)… there were a lot more, but these names jumped out at me.

Um, Orson Scott Card...

(Anonymous) 2008-08-13 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
is one of the poster boys for Mormons who are crazy assholes. Might not be a name you really want to bring up.
