I know you're trying to be reasonable, but I don't feel you understand the Joker's character if you truly believe this.

Because the Joker is not a "normal" person and, in fact, operates on a completely different level of reality and sanity than the rest of us, his definition of sex is not the standard definition of sex. He would never bang women for the hell of it - it would never be as simple as that.

UM, NO. She is completely responsible for her actions. Many teenage girls go off posting slutty/whorish pictures of themselves, but as an icon/role model for children, her doing it is completely unforgivable. Maybe if she /sincerely/ appologized for doing it, I could see letting up a little. But the fact that she STILL has the pictures up on myspace shows that all she really wants is attention, and doesn't give a fuck about being a slut. So if she wants attention, I'll give it to her. And it's completely negative. Also, I'm the same age as her, and I've never done something like that. She knows full well what she's doing.

I have met a few Batman fans who are into the kink scene (bloodplay, S/M), so I can understand why they would find the Joker sexy. But it's like I keep saying lately - most of these n00b fans don't find the Joker hot. They find Heath Ledger as the Joker hot (if you're not one of those n00b fans, then you have nothing to worry about).

Arkham Asylum should be on the reading list for every new Joker "fan". Read that and then tell me you want the Joker's ~schmexy~ ass.

Batman in general is responsible for making me rethink my views on the death penalty... but when I think about it, there really aren't too many cases in real life that compare to the Joker-- i.e., killer who obviously will never reform, can be unequivocally proven responsible for 90% of his crimes, makes no attempt to cover up killings, can't be kept in confinement for more than two weeks, etc. So yeah, it makes you think, but the situations it portrays are maybe not the most realistic.

I don't actually think a lot of the Joker fans are really attracted to him for any reason other than he has Heath Ledger's face. If he was played by Jack or somebody like Crispin Glover they'd all still be hot for Batman, IMO.

If most of them read the darker comics they'd think differently about him, I'm certain. And yes, it's fiction, but the constant variations of "I'd fuck him" all over f_s are real to those of us who see twelve of them per day.

Seriously? The promos are what made me start watching reruns again. I'm super psyched, actually. You know they're not going to make Wilson leave for *good.* I know what you mean though, about either dismissing it or fucking it up. The chance of them REALLY "going there," in my opinion, is close to none. I know the subtext seems obvious to us, but... this isn't Torchwood. The world at large is still pretty behind in terms of accepting gay people - people would seriously freak out. And as much as that sucks, I'm really optimistic. It seems like for a long time Wilson was hardly there - finally we'll not only get to see him more often, but this thing seems to be the focus of the new season. It's much easier said then done, but since there's nothing we can do to change the show, we might as well try to sit back and enjoy what we do get. The writers are crazy, but they wouldn't separate House and Wilson - it's the driving relationship behind the whole show.

And if that doesn't work for you, I've separated "my" House and Wilson from the ones on the show - and they're busy living happily ever after in my head. (Not... as creepy as it sounds, swear xD)
