That response is getting old! Those involved have two choices, either pony up and tell all these 'details' that will apparently change everyone's minds and prove what a wanker he's supposed to be, or just stop speaking. I'm sure the response will be that it's all confidential and that's why its all super sekrit, but that sounds like a convenient excuse.

Just continually capslocking that 'we don't know everything' is weak. This whole thing could have died by now, but it gets kept alive by people still trying to 'prove' that the site was hard done by. It was a joke that some found funny and some didn't. Just as you were allowed to like it and find it hilarious, he's allowed not to find it funny and he's allowed to be pissed off.

What really makes me laugh is how people are acting like this has never happened before ever! For crying out loud, he's not the first public person to issue a C&D or legal proceedings. GET OVER IT

122. ... You know... I would like to see some sort of crossover anime with the moe!Gear girls... and Guy Savage. At completely random, haphazard points the narrative would switch between the girls having moe adventures in a warzone, to Guy gutting beef-zombies by the dozen, and here's the kicker: both of them think they're dreaming the other worlds, but as the series goes along the line between dream and reality begins to blur and at the end, none of them are really sure what the real world actually is. IN the end they team up and fight a space fetus who look like Hideo Kojima while distorted porno movie sounds blare as soundtrack. It would be AWESOME and meta and brainbreak TO THE MAX.

166. Honestly, I think Kuja and Kefka are better. Seph's motivation is going to a promised land and leaving humanity behind, Kuja's is putting on a big show culminating in the end of all things, and Kefka just wants to blow shit up. He and Kuja would be more... in it for the same thing, so to speak, so I think they would connect with each other a lot easier than with Sephiroth. They would of course try to destroy each other afterwards because Kefka hates everything and Kuja wants to be the last man standing, but hey, they MAY sex before that. Unlikely, but they may.

Just so it's clear, I always have respected him; his recent actions to put an end to PETJA have just enhanced that respect. Because he's not as dumb as those guys thought it funny to imply (yay, sketchy syntax!), he probably realized doing this would have unpleasant repercussions, but wasn't fazed by that prospect and did what he felt he had to do. That's balls, if nothing else.

'Course, my stance on this may or may not be influenced by the fact that I always found the whole PETJA ~*~joke~*~ completely tasteless and offensive. YMMV, obviously.

Not the OP, but anon as I'm in the same situation.

I do have to point out that it wasn't just a flocked LJ, it was a full on accessible website too, and let's not forget the PSA videos that made it onto youtube! That there, was an EPIC fail. If it had just been the flocked LJ, I suspect they would have been left alone, but the website and LJ were hand in hand.

Sure some people thought they were funny, but from what I can see, more people thought they were offensive and out of line. I personally think they overstepped the bounds of respect massively, especially for someone they professed to love and admire so much. Just because someone is a reasonably public person,(I say reasonably because let's be honest he's not exactly A list), it doesn't mean they have to give all of themselves up, or completely forfeit their right to a little bit of respect. There are lines, in my opinion these guys crossed it, and paid the price for that. So for that reason I really think people should let it drop now. They've been shut down, it's over, we really don't need yet another secret about the whole thing!

Simon became an aimless, almost crazy murderer that only fights for the pleasure of fighting and doesn't really care about saving Earth, which was actually destroyed during the fall of the Moon. He becomes cynical, never really distances himself from Kamina's shadow, without his own identiy and suffers from frequent depressive breakdowns.

Nia was saved by Coco-ji after her abandonment. She grew into an insecure girl that considers herself unworthy of being called human and, until the moment she awakened as the messenger, still imagined everyday what would it be like to being Genome's blissful daughter. The whole fic is a character analysis on Simon's and Nia's subtle yet beautiful development in the actual show and does an excellent job in telling its own very compelling story while including plenty of parallels and interesting statements about the canon characters. If you already love Simon and Nia's relationship, it will only make you love it more.

I got that book from the library and found out he was doing a reading near me two days later. I finished the book ten minutes before the reading and was still in tears when I got there. It's an incredible book, and one of my favorites, but heartbreaking too.
