126: OMG YES! Well, not on the finding him hot part...though I would never screw the man or particularly find him physically attractive, his ideals and crazy are probably the hottest part about him. But whatever, n00b fan is n00b. XD Anyway, that said, I'm really tired of the 'OMGSOHOTHECANHAVEMYBABIES' secrets. More or less I just hope the subside.

138: You should never not be proud of your faith just because a few anti-fans are going crazy. The book did have some Mormon undertones to it that were easy to pick out because it was poorly written, and yeah, people are going to use that against her, but it really doesn't matter. In all honesty, especially after this latest book, people are just outraged that she let them down and are trying to find any number of reasons to dislike her, other than her writing skills.

I like the musical, but I definitely agree that the novel was far, far better. The show totally butchered all of the characters and the plot I like the music, okay? I was positively aghast when my mother said she preferred the show to the book.

I don't understand the desire to write fandom poetry, and really, I have this feeling that apart from a few people who genuinely feel the desire to write it, most people just write it because they want to write something short with a minimum of fuss that will have a hook to garner reader reactions.

118 Oh man. I think a lot of us have had similar wishes (for various results), even if they were fleeting. I can definitely understand this one! Joe Flanigan seems like he... wouldn't necessarily give his full attention to a fan unless there was a reason beyond the normal 'I love your show, I love your character' kind of thing, sadly. Which is his prerogative, no doubt, but still.

I've tried really hard to NOT be on either side of this wank because I have friends on both sides and because I'm guilty of mocking him myself on occasion, but I don't suppose my two-cents hurt on F_S...

At first I did just take it as a kind of moment of humourlessness on Jensen's part (or his people's part) but then I started to think about how I'd feel if websites like that existed about me and I became aware of them - even with my sense of humour I'm sure I wouldn't appreciate it. Also the more I hear about the things that were supposedly on that site, the more I kind of don't blame him...if indeed the things I've heard did ever go on there, which most of us will probably never know.

BUT THEN I had a conversation with a guy I know who's a small-time actor about how he's been bashed in the past, and all he said was "I'm an actor, I'm fair game."

I don't really know. Right now I'm just trying not to step on any toes because Jensen seems like a stupid reason to fall out with people, no matter what your opinion of the situation is.

140-...I wanna see this. Long ago I found a batman/SM fanfic I read, but I don't think they went against joker.

148- I don't think you missed the point. The point is that BATMAN doesn't feel that he has the right to be judge and jury, not that he doesn't feel they should die. He's already going far enough to catch them, and doesn't think it's in his right to catch and punish them.

I disagree. 90% of his behaviour suggests to most (sane) people that he's not at all interested in sex. Things that please normal men do not please him. Are you familiar with the comics at all? He has a 'sexy' side-kick who adores him and he's just not that interested in her.

I've actually played Axel before, and then Roxas for a long time.
I still play Roxas a lot.
But now, I'm so turned off because so many of my friends play him well and tell people how terrible I am at playing them behind my back.

So I switched to P3, and played Minato for a while.

And it was more enjoyable. People didn't nitpick at you.
...until so many more people played the game.

138 - I haven't noticed any Twilight people bashing Mormons because Stephenie Meyer is one. I've seen people using Mormonism as one of the reasons the books are as terrible as they are, but that's making fun of the person for being a certain religion, not making fun of a religion for having a certain person in it. After all, people have been making fun of Mormonism for a very long time. South Park especially has a long and glorious career of bashing Mormons.

Personally, if I were Mormon, I'd be more embarrassed to be associated with Orson Scott Card than SMeyer.

(Please, don't think I'm picking on your religion. I'm not. I was raised Southern Baptist. My church was one of the ones that participated in the boycotting of Disney World. I have no room, and no inclination, to bash other religions. I'm just saying, if you're going to be ashamed of your religion, there should be a better reason than SMeyer.)
