Today was my last day off work for awhile. I wasn't feeling like a run this morning so I just got dressed and went to get coffee. Went to the grocery store and got some berries and a salad. Did the dishes and straitened up the kitchen, then I had a mani-pedi appointment, I now have awesome sparkly black glitter fingernails and perfectly polished nude toes. Watched a couple of episodes of Girls. Read a couple of chapters in the book 'The Perfume Collector' (it's good). Going to watch the Warriors/Lakers preseason game this evening.

Work, Spanish, work again, then public speaking group meeting. All while feeling anxious, hormonal, and in a lot of pain. This week has just sucked.

went out for a long walk, looked at some cool local architecture, had tea and listened to some Miles Davis at a local cafe and had beer and pizza with some friends at this new place I really liked.

Note: If you dislike love triangles, that's fine. I don't care for them myself because they're usually very badly done and cliche. But this thread is for people who have a favorite love triangle. I'm curious to hear what it is!

I only like love triangles when [A] and [C] are mutually in love with each other, but for some reason one of them is with someone else [B], and thus, much pining and repressing and angsting.

Yes, it's completely unfair to [B], who is being lied to by omission and treated like an obstacle by the narrative. But I'm trash and I like it.

A canon example of this would be...I guess Jim/Pam/Roy.

A fandom example would be Sherlock/John/Mary. (As in, I'm not saying that's Mary's role in canon - it's just a lot of people's headcanon interpretations of the story.)

But I suppose if you want a love TRIANGLE, I'd say Zoro/Nami/Sanji or Zoro/Luffy/Sanji is my current binge.

Worst: the guy who was always watching something and laughing loudly in that way like you could tell he wanted someone to go in there and ask him what was so funny, you know the type?

Best: college townie who stayed at her boyfriend's place so often I basically got the dorm room to myself (and she was fun when she was around).

Why do people say "clutching their pearls" to mean someone is shocked by something or disapproves of something? It's a big cliche, but it doesn't make much sense to me.
