I love you both. I am a fan of Johnny Depp, and liked the overall performance, but thought it would have been a much better casting choice if the movie had been a Sweeney Todd drama (like the BBC did) as opposed to the musical.

George Hearn has always been my ideal Sweeney; that he played the role in the early 80s and then revived it twenty years later -- doing just a good a job as before -- absolutely cinched it for me. I used to think that Angela Lansbury was too "kooky" a Mrs. Lovett, because I do like the sinister Lovett that HBC and Patti LuPone played, but...she's still my favorite.

And I absolutely ship it -- outside of Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter. So thank you for letting me know that I'm not the only one <3

I just kind of wish I'd been able to see Len Cariou (the man on the original Broadway soundtrack) as Sweeney, as another comparison.

170. It's okay, it really is. If you want to give that game another try, go ahead and tell them what you've told us. If you'd rather drop and apologize, that's fine too. Most of them will be completely fine with it and understand. In fact, most will think better of you if you do. If they get mad at you for suddenly vanishing, then take your play elsewhere. But don't let this stop you from trying other games. I joined a game once and liked it, but the format wasn't quite meshing with me. I ended up not posting for a REALLY long time and finally just dropped without a goodbye post (there was a simple drop form, no questions asked). I was in other games then and am in other games now. No one's come after me with virtual pitchforks, and if the players at that game are mature, they won't come after you either.
