If you really wanted to help, you could just ask to beta or give constructive criticism. What you're doing is unnecesarily mean.

You are a shitbag. Helping people with their bad fanfiction by offering to beta their stories is great, and is something a lot of those "14-year-old YOAI fans" really need, but editing their fics completely just to feed your huge superiority complex makes me want to shoot you in the face. None of us were any good when we started writing as teenagers, and you may have stomped all over some poor girl's heart instead of doing the right thing.

P.S. Nice typo. Is "yoai" like yaoi? Great editing skills you've got there.

Oh, brother. I'm not the OP (and I definitely do not approve of the plagiarism that he/she is committing), but save me the "you may have stomped all over some poor girl's heart!" weepiness. Some of the stuff out there written by 14-year-old girls is absolutely atrocious. No, I'm not expecting a teenager to be writing masterpiece novels, but a decent grasp of proper spelling and grammar (or at least the knowledge of how to use spellcheck), as well as halfway recognizable characterization, is not too much to ask. Yes, the OP is being a little unnecessarily cruel, but if I personally come across a fic that butchers canon, characterization, and the English language beyond all recognition, I will not hesitate to tell the author exactly what I think. I don't care how old she is. If you're old enough to post your crap online, you're old enough to proofread.

LOL I had internets back when Fushigi Yugi fandom was out... Miaka haters were 10000000000 times worse.

It boggles my mind how FY was like "IT CANZ BE RAEP TIEMS NAO?" every couple of episodes lol.

And worse, how BOTH Yui and Miaka thought they'd been raped when they hadn't... I know they're fairly young, but Jesus. Don't you think they'd be puzzled that they weren't in pain in.. certain areas if they thought they'd been raped?
It really pisses me off that a female writer kept using rape as a stupid plot device.

170. Sounds familiar. Was it the people you were RPing with make you self conscious or other things? If the people are nice, you might not even have to leave. Just apologize and tell them what's going on. If it is a good group, they should be understanding.

Recently I fell off the face of the planet due to RL stuff. I neglected all my RPing ( and I am in two comms, technically three, and RP with another person off to the side. ) I'm the type of person that the longer I am away from something, the harder it is for me to get back into it since I start thinking everyone would be upset or annoyed with me. I finally just dove in. I had to. Some people were annoyed, sure, but mostly everyone has been fine. The community I am in that moves rather fast was really okay with it. I am still catching up, but. . .getting back on the horse you could say. *Shrugs*

I don't think I know you, but you're right. Your situation sounds an awful lot like mine.

The community I was in is a fast paced community too, and I just left without warning (no hiatus post or dropping post). I started out with a legit excuse - I'd missed a few days for RL stuff but then I got nervous about trying to join back in, and the days turned into weeks, the weeks into months and, well, here I am now, I guess.

I feel dumb saying this even though it's anonymous and even though I don't think you know me, because it's just the internet, but it was a combination of the people I was RPing with and my own shortcomings that made me feel really self conscious. I'm easily intimidated in general and a big, fast-paced RP filled with fandom!people I recognized/respected was enough to scare me off, I guess.

I guess my problem now is the same problem that you were having. I don't want people to be annoyed at me, even though they would be completely right to. This isn't the first time I've done this, either, which makes me feel worse. But it is pretty ridiculous of me to keep avoiding RPs and fandom in general especially over something that might not even be a big deal.

Sorry about the tl;dr especially since, uh, I don't think I am who you think I am. Feel free to virtually hit me over the head for being so silly. :|
