OK, Jenny's not a likable character. I can understand the "struggles" or whatever that she supposedly went through, but whatever. A lot of her fans always point to her relationships with Tim and whatever and I don't get that. Shitty relationships happen...for everyone. It definitely doesn't warrant being a giant cunt to like everyone. Most people are put off by the fact that she suddenly became self-centered and extremely over-confident in her god-awful book. She ripped off the lives of all of her friends and made them all look like tards. Not to mention the people who still have faith in Shane/Carmen (somehow) feel like she's messing that up, knowing what will inevitably happen next season.

That said I think everyone feels a little like Jenny sometimes, a little hypocritical, bitchy, higher-than-thou, insensitive. Crazy. IDK. She's interesting to watch, but I don't see why people still find her likable after we are given so many reasons to hate her.

t!b 1. Steve Erwin was a wonderful example of just... living your dream and loving every day of it. I think that a lot of us would like to have that in our lives, and watching him gave us hope that it isn't impossible, there are people out there who CAN pull it off. And maybe, in your subconscious mind, you understood that even if he died, he still lived his dream. And that maybe we shouldn't stop hoping we can as well, jsut because he's gone.

I had to go google that web page, OP, because I hadn't read it before. It reads a helluva lot like fanfiction. My belief isn't that far off from your secret, if only because the whole thing went down so damn weird. Yadda, yadda, they don't owe fans anything, but after the whole "This is exactly how he proposed to me" story and everything the two of them laid bare for their fans, it was damn weird how intensely they shut up after the break up.

104. People keep complaining about Depp, but who really ruined the movie for me was the guy playing.. Oh, what's his name. The young sailor. The whole love sideplot with Johanna/Sailor Guy was insipid and irritating in the movie.

114. Why does it sicken you? It's not that they're so attached to a fictional character that they lack human empathy. It's that the person who died was someone distant and unreal. It's hard for a lot of people to grasp something that was never close to them. Most people will only be able to rationalize that it's sad because it's always sad when somebody dies. Does this make sense?

All that said, I think it's incredibly tasteless.

I thought the movie had a TON of ridiculous flaws but I still enjoyed catching up with the characters. In other words, I legitimately enjoyed it.

Yeah, that's how I feel, I think. There were lots of ludicrous things in it, but at the end, it had Mulder, Scully and Skinner in it, you know? So that's great. Just like some old friends hanging out.
