I will probably still have a blog, though there are one or two somewhat nsfw things I didn't delete yet so I'm not counting on it. I'll probably be on there to the bitter end, depending on how bitter the end really is.

I should still have mine. My Tumblr has always been SFW. I got a pillowfort and a twitter but not sure how much I will use them.

Are the really going to delete blogs? It sounded like they'd just be switching those posts to private.

Starting on December 17, 2018, any post(s) that have been flagged will be reverted to a private setting viewable only by you.

Of course, I know a lot of blogs have already been deleted. My porn blog is still up, though it's entirely separate from my fandom blog (thank goodness). We'll see. The internet giveth, and the internet taketh away.

Even though I have adult content, it is mainly text. I looked up to see, and I have not been labeled as one of the ones that will probably get deleted. I think I'm safe. I don't know about other parts of my fandom, though.

I just found out that mine's been flagged. There's not enough time to try and save it. I was thinking about going back but I guess not.

On the positive side, a fandom friend I added there who turned out to be a nasty SJW who would probably attack me and call me a pedophile if I unfriended her (seriously, she was crazy) and was the reason I stopped going there is also getting purged, so this does solve one problem at least. (She's not active anywhere else I'm at, so...)

It shouldn't be that hard, when you're writing fic, to remember that the Doctor is an immortal space wizard and not a 16-year-old.

Obviously, not just an immortal space wizard, but that's always part of the personality.

I don't really love the whole A/B/O thing, but sometimes it hits a spot, so I go looking for one. And I get really sick of authors having random sentences saying that Alphas are always male. Why is that necessary? Why does that even make sense? And if your fic is slash, it doesn't even serve any sort of purpose. What is so horrible about the idea of female alphas. Honestly, I'd be more interested in reading A/B/O fics if there were more examples of female alphas.

Why does Dreamwidth not copy over links? I made a post with Gen Steve Rogers fic recs. I made it in pillowfort and then copied it to Tumblr. The links all followed it. Then I tried to put it on Dreamwidth and they didn't. BAH!

This isn’t about something wrong with/in my fandoms, but it is a fandom related gripe.
I was originally going to go to a fandom convention for one of my favorite shows that I skipped because my mom was ill. Then I skipped the next one, because my mom was dying. The money I’d saved up to celebrate getting my bachelor’s degree and a promotion at work by doing something dumb and nerdy and extravagant went to mom’s care and the aftermath.

There’s a big screen-worn/used costume and prop auction for the fandom tomorrow. I have work, but I can probably finagle my breaks to bid on stuff. I love costumes and cosplay and I’m the nearly the same height as one of my favorite characters that has several costumes up for auction. I’d have to pull money out of my savings to cover anything I won, but I won’t be a pauper if I do.

Should I bid on anything, or should I just resign myself to being thrifty and sensible and accept that my reward for getting a promotion and a degree is that I got a promotion and a degree?
