101. I agree that it's silly to be ashamed of what fandoms you're in. Most children's shows have stuff to entertain adults too, since the creators tend to assume parents will watch it with their kids at some point. So, although the creators are generally aiming for children, they also, usually, add stuff for adults - and even if they DON'T, you like what you like.

104. Didn't read your secret. I'm too impatient to wait for it to change after I've finished reading the first frame. And it's a hassle to have to wait for it to start over if I missed the beginning. Don't do this, please. :(

133. Aside from being psycho, her and the loli with the bow were probably the best choices. Sekai was just a crazy bitch. \(o_O)/

134. The point of a multi-fandom game is to interact with characters from another series. Aside from that I don't have any advice. Honestly, though, I think most RP drama comes to people who, y'know, attract it to themselves aka deserve it. Not all, but most. If you finda a good game, which there are plenty of, and if you aren't an idiot, hopefully things will be okay? Haha orz *not helpful*

148. Flamboyant =/= Gay. But in fandom everyone is ever sexuality. To me.

For some reason I feel like there weren't as many secrets today. Weird, because there are totally a lot.

[identity profile] haleysings.livejournal.com 2008-09-06 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
124. What? WHAT? I don't know how they're related!!! XD;;; Bookworm/Grumpy guy?

130. ...I could've gone my entire life without seeing that picture of Carrot Top.

134. RP isn't all drama, it just has it's moments like the rest of the fandom. Also, none of my characters are from uber-popular series, but I've been well accepted. Heck, on Poly we have characters from all over the place. The point of a multi-fandom RPG is crossovers, generally, so you don't need a crew of characters from the same series to have fun.

136. Yeah, making fun of retards and midgets is so mature! You're so far above all of us middle schoolers!

136 (not OP)

(Anonymous) 2008-09-06 10:39 pm (UTC)(link)
It was a pretty apt comparison of the vast majority of RP wank. Hyperbole != making fun of. Nice try, though.

105: Adam for the win, but at least spell the names of the others correctly!

138: The Harvelles are out there saving people and hunting things, and you know it. Awesome mother-daughter teams for the win, I don't care what you dislikers think.

154: Another case where threesomes are the way to go. Although I'd prefer Mohinder and Maya getting some proper revenge on Sylar for killing their family members.

165: Hahahahaha, that scene was awesome.

111. Me too, lol. I read them first.

124. YES!!! Snape/Hermione FTW! Um dun tell anyone, but when I watch Beauty and the Beast, that's what I'm thinking of. The whole time. Not that I ever watch Beauty and the Beast.... *shifty eyes.* And now I really want a good crossover fic - it fits all too well.

144. OH MY GOD MIKA SECRET. This is half the reason I even listen to his music - usually I don't like to find out stuff about singers, but he *is* inspiring. And apparently a real sweetheart. ^^ Ohhh this secret made my afternoon.

146. Lol, you're not too old, silly. *points to first secret* I do something similar. My last name is Jones, and whenever The Doctor calls Martha "Miss Jones," and I think, "Damn, I wish." xP

154. LMAO, I glanced over the top picture too quick and thought Mohinder was humping his waist.

Re: 169

[identity profile] darkdork13.livejournal.com 2008-09-07 03:56 pm (UTC)(link)
IAWTC. I never would have watched that movie (or even heard of it probably) if it hadn't been assigned in a class I took on feminism. I ended up LOVING it. It really opened my mind, and I thought it was a beautiful love story.

[identity profile] etherealtsuki.livejournal.com 2008-09-06 09:04 pm (UTC)(link)
101. That is true, but sometimes the demographic that the show was made for discourages people. I mean, Sesame Street is produced and made by adults but no one over the age of 10 would admit watching it actively. And there's most of the fandoms being dominated by teenagers. It's normal to feel like that, unforunately.

117. What a beautiful secret. ;_; Also, WTF on the pic.

118. No one can resist Mother.

130. ಠ_ృ

166. Sometimes, I think why I somewhat like Light because he reminds me of Kaiba, who in my list of top 20 characters of all time....

Lol, never making secrets while wasted again. This is way whinier than I intended.

PS, whoever said I should use torrents - they fry my computer. Or at least they did last time I tried, which was admittedly a year or so ago. Meh, I'll try again.

There are about 100 ways to get the episodes besides torrents. You're on LJ. Use it! I don't mean to sound rude, but come on.

101. Unfortunately, not everyone thinks that way. People often sneer at others for liking something they think should have been left behind at childhood, and so...secrets are born.

109: *whispers* Download? ;)

114: Did the writers of Bonekickers seriously script Life On Mars? I'm not sure they did anymore... Dolly was about the only redeeming part of that show. Him and the LOVE THAT CAN NOT BE STRAIGHTENED.

119: That would be pretty damn exciting.

YES TO THIS.

104 Yeah Organization XIII was just tl;dr and I didn't give a shit. I wish they'd kept the spirit of the first game, but Riku's side in Chain of Memories was worth it I guess. And my retarded Marluxia/Namine obsession.

112 dude it's so so so wrong i sort of got turned on reading that while laughing dgjhfkdg

125 If it is not established in the book/manga/show/movie/series it is not 'canon.' It is still only POTENTIALLY canon. Chemistry and subtext do not count.

163 Considering how inaccurate and biased Wikipedia can be especially when it comes to the details of inter-character relationships....

169 That movie's in my top list too. The only part of it I couldn't stand was the whole 'media' scene. That was just ridiculous.

too big! 2: hate for anime Rose boggles me a bit, but then no matter if it's anime or manga I love ALL FMA's characters. Mostly people hate her because 'lyke omg that ho took the elrics away from each other/winry/roy/armstrong/etc' D:

Ditto! I was not too fond of that, either. Oh, and some of the more stereotypical things ticked me off, too, but other than that, it's one of my favourite romances, right up there with Jane Eyre.

I THINK I LOVE YOU.

Seriously, I am so fed up of people saying, "Oh it's so hot"; "It's all about the sex", etc etc. I don't understand how people can watch it and completely miss the point of it being about love - and not only that, but real, absolute, all-consuming love. It's the most romantic film I've ever seen.

#169 *snort* Yeah, because everybody would totally assume that just because you've watched "Secretary" you're a submissive looking for someone to order them around. I get your worries, but if explaining what you've just done in the conversation does not do the trick, you might want to look into finding more intelligent people to talk to. =/

Saw people recommend both [livejournal.com profile] daisychainrpg and [livejournal.com profile] worldrefugees2... and I can vouch for the both of them. They both have a pretty good welcoming... committee, I guess you could say, though Daisychain's is a bit more literal. Both are pretty fun for me, so far, and from what I can tell Daisychain has a lot of people from small fandoms. I'd say start with Daisychain if you want something outside of the KH fandom. WR is just KH.

Go ahead and give it a shot :D
