What happens in canon rarely has a bearing on my ships and what I love and don't love. If canon doesn't make a place in it for a certain pairing I look at it as an excuse to write an AU fanfic or something.

It's just that that pairing in specific was one that I role-played and wrote with my ex all the time so now I associate the pair with that person to an inseparable extent.

It's not about disliking the pairing in the aftermath, I don't dislike it at all, it just... hurts to think about. Like listening to that song that was 'our song' after a breakup and wanting to cry, if that makes any sense.

109. If you know what to look for on Youtube, it actually has everything! What season of Doctor Who are you on right now? Because as a general rule, if you search the name of the episode (a list of which can be found on IMDB) and put "part 1" with your search, you're bound to get something. Also, iTunes has seasons 1-3 and each episode is only 99 cents, I believe. So you can individually buy the episodes you want to see/haven't seen at a fairly good price.

142. It became unwatchable drivel when they started using the exact same plot lines in SERIES TWO! Didn't take them long, did it?

The only reason I watched the series to begin with was because of the Sheriff and (mostly) Gisborne.

Guy is an abusive asshole? Yes! He is! That's why I like him. He's in this situation that requires a hell of a lot of arse kissing and watching how he struggled in that gave him some dimension in character.

Unlike the hypocritical 'heroes' who are so quick to make excuses for their not so pure behaviour. But that's okay, because they're 'the good guys'. It's a pathetic attempt at exploring the paper thin characters and their 'dark sides' but overall, it comes across as lame and achieves nothing except making Robin a real twat.

TL;DR: Some of us like Gisborne and don't make excuses for his character because he's pretty much the only one that has any depth. It when they made him as shallow as a kiddie pool by getting hooked by Marian AGAIN that I stopped watching. Somehow the writers managed to make him OOC. I don't know how the hell that works.

PS: Liking the villain because he's the most interesting character in the series does not make me an abuser in RL.

I'm on the 3rd disk of series 2 and Guy and the Sheriff are really the only interesting characters. I'm actually kind of shocked that there's that much support for a het pairing when the slash has been screaming itself hoarse since the first episode.

Her fic in one large fandom follows the popular line of thinking that the series' main characters want to fuck each other in canon and therefore building believable sexual tension into a fic is optional. Sometimes she does it well, and sometimes it's just like OH HAI THAR PR0N all of a sudden. I don't like this ship because so many people write it this way (though despise is probably too strong a word).

The doujinshi, but the fandom pisses me off quite frequently too. I think the art style is hideous, the presentation of Nagayama overfeminized, and I think the fandom is just too eager for anything remotely TxN. I realize this secret comes a while after the doujinshi were first published, but it's just supposed to be a secret I wouldn't want my fandom friends to know. And my fandom friends freak out about anything TxN, including these doujinshi. *shrug*

115. I kinda agree. I really wanted to make Aaeru/Neviril my OTP, but it just didn't "click" to me. So now I ship Aaeru/Yun OTP. Even if it would mean rewriting the whole series to get them together. Mamiia/Rodreamon also totally works for me too.
