It's actually probably not just that. Dunno how well you know the Tenimyu fandom, if at all, but those doujinshi are talked about... somewhat regularly at Tuti/Nagayan comms. Though not much anymore. would've made more sense if this secret was made... months or even a year ago.

Fans always find ways to defend their characters, especially when in a majority of cases they just need to cover up the fact that really, they can't stand the fact that their ship might not work out (Hello? Marian's DEAD. It's Not Gonna Happen). If Guy is redeemed, his fangirls would be even more insufferable. I've heard the 'Guy can only be redeemed if he's hit rock bottom' line so many times, I'm sick of it. Yeah, he's hit rock bottom, but Nottingham isn't Miracle Land. It would be completely *unbelievable* if he suddenly became a good guy, not to mention insulting to the rest of the show's fans. I love this show, and yeah, Richard Armitage is SMOKIN'. But Guy? Is a serious psychopath and I would NOT hit that.

If he suddenly redeemed himself, I think the show would probably go downhill. I mean, it's like you said. Nottingham isn't Miracle Land. It isn't believable that someone would just suddenly become good after doing all of that stuff... especially after killing the woman he "loved".

He IS psychopathic and I'm just glad I haven't heard "Guy can only be redeemed if he's hit rock bottom" as much as you have.

134. I don't understand why you'd let this stop you. If you go to big rps like polychromatic, paixao, paradisa, campfuckudie, discedo, and a whole host of others... you'll see that, yeah, anime and games do dominate (particularly the more popular ones) but people do apply for and successfully maintain more obscure characters with or without crew! :D Even though people might not know, going in, who your character is, if your character is still an interesting person they should be interesting in finding out. And, who knows, you may create a convert! I've been introduced to new fandoms through rping myself.

Also, I find that interacting with people (particularly if you have little or no crew; that is, people of the same fandom to play with) isn't as big a problem if you're playing in a smaller game. When there are less players, people are less likely to divide into groups and to try to work together around a more coherent, central plot. Plus, it can be a lot less intimidating and people will become more familiar with you and your character through greater interaction since there's a smaller pool of characters to interact with.

106. I LOVE JOHN ADAMS (and William Daniels). Just remember that Paul Giamatti is still more attractive than the real John Adams. :P (Also, McCullough's book is fantastic, and I don't even like biographies.)
109. Several suggestions: 1) Join Netflix on the $5/two DVDs a month plan, 2) buy the season/episodes on iTunes (much cheaper than DVDs), or 3) download illegally now and buy the DVDs later when you have more cash.

138) I agree - their characters didn't really get much of a satisfying end froma storytelling viewpoint, but what exactly WOULD they do now? Jo would probably never want to be in the same room as Sam (and Sam would feel awkward being near her), and Ellen would... what? gather information for the boys? They already have Bobby for that. A lot of fans do like to forget the fact that Ellen was married to a hunter, but wasn't one herself. I'd rather see some of the S1 women back anyway.
