107) Yeah, that's the way it is. No matter how good you are at fanfic, your flist just doesn't trust you to be that exciting at putting together your own characters and plot. Fandom isn't exactly risk taking. But some of us do read original fic on the internet, so don't let the lack of response stop you from working on your own stuff too.

120) Yeah, I know that heady feeling, like you can see perfectly how it's meant to be. As long as you realize that this is your particular version of the characters and not a universal truth that must be accepted by everyone or else they are blind and stupid, you'll be fine. Just realize that other people are exactly as convinced that the Doctor and Jack can live perfectly fine without each other, and they are just as right as you are in this opinion -- because the characters are fictional, and canon hasn't come out one way or the other.

126) Never even hint at this to those people. They will find it massively creepy and think you are stalking them. The fun isn't worth the unfriendly gossip that will haunt you daily after that.

150) When you make a secret, you are inviting people to respond to it. Sometimes secrets make people angry or makes people feel threatened and attacked -- and you get nasty responses. This is just the price you pay for being able to say what's on your mind LONG TERM CONSEQUENCE FREE. And that's it -- this is a safespot to say these things without them harming your reputation -- not a safespot to never have people disagree with you. If you only want to be supported no matter how dark your secret is, don't tell it to a bunch of strangers.

I sympathize, but that's different from how it is now how exactly? I just remember going online and being fucking disturbed by all the Rorschach heads praising him as a "conservative hero." Misaimed fandom (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MisaimedFandom), much? Of course, once I read to the end the appeal and obsession made more sense to me (and I do love him immensely now because of that - as an interesting character, not a frakking role model!). And there's already porn out there. My advice is to just roll with it. It's inevitable.
