Re: Why are you tired?

Same here. I've had it for over twenty years. I hate the unrelenting flu-like feeling and the brain fog and all the rest of this bastard illness. I hate that most people don't accept what I say about it. I hate what it's done to my relationships.

I'm sorry you're so far down, anon. Hugs, if they would help. Have you heard about the Stanford research? Someone's discovered a biomarker, which is a step in the right direction at last.

I loved Solo and wish it was going to get a sequel.

Hell fucking yes.

Tired of getting shamed or treated like an asshole for bodily functions I dont ask for. Esp when I tried my best to fix it.

Its embarassing to vent about but it only adds to my feeling I'm a disgusting pig. Thanks fam.

This is exactly how I feel about people who try to write Jane Austen sequels in the same style. Not that very many people try, which is both disappointing and... well, probably just as well.

(Anonymous) 2019-06-07 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
When done well, that's rather the point? It's hard to separate the language of those eras from the literature if someone is aiming for that same feel.

(Anonymous) 2019-06-07 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
I just can't stand that era, so those kind of fics I would probably never click on.

*low five to conserve energy*

yes other people suck and do not get it. I'm just not able to have any optimism now. I did years of graded exercise therapy when that was the current science thing and it made me worse. I'm happy for other people if they're optimistic. I'm sorry you're on the suck train with me.

I only like really well written mpreg, so I can see why this would be super annoying. D:

How come no one's mentioned the Slap Chop guy yet? XD

i get the au's justification, amidst how weird a concept of rpf can feel in the first place. i used to explain it to myself w the idea that like. the vast majority of anything we know about idol celebs is a persona, and that's really what i'm reading about? vs that i think most of these group members are actually waiting to make-out as soon as they are out of the spotlight. but i also might have just needed to feel better about being too curious to not read at least a few chapters of the literal hundreds of "soshi's house of classic horror" 👀

assassin aus do somehow feel less intrusive than college roommate crushes? let alone "what happened backstage after that moment from this tour fancam". but i also came from second gen kpop when people would mega uncomfortably ask idols to read smut of themselves live on radio SO i might be jaded to where the line of appropriate or grounded is.

i do really hope you have fun w your au tho! haha

i just went through a hell of a time ~interpersonally speaking~ with stupid junk happening one right after another at work and w my friends since like february. and ofc without noticing i let my basic self care diminish the more stressed and upset i got. but once the air cleared a little i had begun doing a fair job at properly nourishing my body finally! and for the past few weeks was feeling uncharacteristically great :)

but i got all tripped up in hubris or whatever and ordered a goddamn stroopwaffle mcflurry yesterday lmao. i legit forgot how awful my body used to feel all the time? which is both terrifying and exciting to confront tbh. i've definitely felt worse, and could always feel better! but it was a bit jarring to viscerally realize how badly i've exacerbated my emotional and mental health issues in past years by just not taking care of my body, if not outright abusing it during certain times. even though that's obvious and always sitting in the back of your mind somewhere when you gotta sit with it like that it's strange and sad but still motivating haha

Whedon turns out to be terrible. And he's not so great at doing movies. But I still love most of his tv shows. Buffy remains particularly awesome.

Visas with no restrictions I could give out to anyone I wanted to so that I could help all the immigrants. That or money to give out.

Either money or, if it could be absolutely anything, working magic spells or cures for cancer.

I mean, money is the obvious answer.

It's telling that the first thing that popped into my head was 'A lifetime supply of well-written fanfic for all of my OTPs.' It's more telling that after thinking about it for several minutes, That's probably still my answer, if money is off the table.

I don't actually drive, but free gasoline whenever I needed it would be a good one. I'd probably drive if gas was free.

Healthcare.

Second would be gas/fuel/transportation.

For whatever reason I'm fine with mpreg if it involves alien/monster eggs but not human babies. It isn't something I actively seek out in fiction but I have read a few surprisingly decent ovi fics.

Crippling poverty even though I'm working all of the time. I'm disappointed with how my life turned out in general but on a happier note, I'm actively trying to change things around and if even a fraction of my plans and goals prove fruitful, I will be able to find some happiness and satisfaction.

Love the Magic Bullet commercial. I actually have one and like it for making smoothies and baby food.
