It's hot af here so I went for an early run, then showered and got some tea from the shop down the street. I read for 2 hours. Watching baseball later on, and getting to bed early tonight because I'm working tomorrow.

Stressing the hell out. My company is in the process of being sold and have no idea what will happen with my job. They fired two people on Monday that had been there for like...15+ years. They've been slowly moving their positions to our production plants. But, they did it out of the blue so now all I can think is, "I could be fired any moment. D:::::::" Or, when our company is bought, it may stay largely the same.Which would be great because I love my job. WHO KNOWS?!?!

I'll go to sleep now, but I just finished The Society on Neflix and now I want more... but who knows when the next season will happen (or if? Idk how well it's doing).
It's not the bestest show ever or anything but it was entertaining enough and has some really really cool characters.

I got called in to work an extra day for my coworker who called in, which is great because yay money and not great because I need a day off. And then on the way to work there was a baby sparrow right next to the trolley tracks, so young its eyes were still closed.

The local project wildlife office was a short walk from the next trolley stop, so I got off there and walked to ... where their office used to be. Then I turned around and walked another mile to the new location, dropped off the by then almost certainly gonna die poor little guy and most of the cash in my purse, and took a lyft to work. I’m tired and I won’t be home until at least nine.

Job interview in the morning. Worked the rest of the day. Had an Italian sandwich for lunch.

Packing for the wedding I'm going to this weekend. My outfit for the day is sorted but I gotta figure out what I'll be wearing for the rest of the weekend and what I'm going to need for entertainment-wise on the Friday/Sat evening.

Also figuring out what make-up I'll need but tbh I think I'm just gonna take my whole bag and pilfer through it for what I feel like on the day.

Upset because due to office-move stuff, I've been stuck in a windowless office by myself for the next six weeks instead of sitting with the rest of my department. :/ it's only temp. and I know there's nothing to be done about it, but the isolation really sets my anxiety off and makes me feel like I'm being punished and it really sucks

Helping my daughter to rescue a wee baby bat. Tomorrow, it goes to an official rescue person, but tonight it's hoping we can keep it hydrated and warm and comfortable. It's so *teeny*!

Worked background on The Magicians. Production was cheap and didn't give us breakfast, so I didn't have anything to eat until 2 P.M. which was awesome. Secreted my own body weight in sweat. The hair lady gave me a nice updo and let me wear her battery-powered fan. Furtively read smutty fanfic in the down time. Pretended to buy a pita. Actually bought a birthday card for my mom's SO.

Been scrolling through random shit on Pinterest for like an hour and somehow everything's laugh-out-loud funny? I think my sleep-deprivation is interacting with my PMS somehow, but like, this isn't usually how it goes. Two days ago I cried over like six different poems because they were ~so impactful~ and now I think a series of pictures of a pug going down a slide is just impossibly hilarious, help.

I guess I agree with the article. Who starts these things anyway? Is it tumblr-era babyfans who've grown up with less of a barrier between creators and fans? People who just want to vent? Personally I cringe when I see hear about one because it seems so out of touch. What about you guys? Has anyone ever signed something like that?

Is being really condescending on purpose kind of a trend lately? Or just a tumblr thing?

There are so many times, where I see someone saying something, and they may well have a point or a good idea - but it's presented in such an obnoxious way that I'm automatically disinclined to agree with the person.

It's like they don't just want you to agree with them - they want you to feel like shit because you didn't think of it yourself. Or didn't know some fact they referenced.
