Re: Can someone tell me what I am missing because that first rate cannot be right?

nayrt

So... it's for 6 nights. That's just under $100/night, which isn't terrible for London, but isn't super cheap. Am I missing something?

Just seemed odd that the same days would have such a difference in price for the two places. Regardless, if it IS that cheap that is fantastic because it has good reviews.

So for 12 nights I double that price?

I'm also trying to lose weight, mostly for health reasons but also because I hate the way it looks on me. It's impossible for me to reconcile that with fat-positivity but I guess fat-positivity has its limits for me when it comes to my own body.

Anyway I can understand where they're coming from because fat people shouldn't be afraid to cosplay, but it's not like you're saying they should be and at a certain point it's really none of anyone's else's business.

Dawwww. You're boy sounds adorable. My girl doesn't like catnip on its own, or the plant. But she likes catnip toys. Her drug of choice is brushing. Which is weird because when it comes to petting, she's a cheeks only girl, and only sometimes. But brushing is a drug for her, especially when my mom does it. She looks like she's high when she's being brushed.

My cat has never had a hairball either. Never vomited anything.

My girl disdains water bowls. She only drinks out of her fountain or the sink. Only moving water for her. Until I got her the fountain, she'd only do the sink or try to drink from the toilet.

Right now she's curled up in a ball at the foot of my bed, looking completely adorable. She's a calico cutie. I've been told by others she's particularly beautiful for a calico. I don't know. I just know I adore her.

That'd be my guess, yeah.

Even though I like both authors' work I actually couldn't finish the book. I wouldn't say it was bad at all but the idea what it was "meandering" in parts seems true to me.

I'll probably watch the show but I feel somehow guilty about watching it when I never read the book.

That is poor website planning.

There are definitely such a thing as good and bad endings, but every early season of GOT is just as it was before the final season was released.

Forrest Gump. If you loved the movie, do NOT read the book!

There is probably a story behind the French thing, a stupid story, but still.

Has the discourse on which letters in the LGBT+ family get exclusive ownership of the ship started?

NGL that this is why I am very confused by NB/agender etc, because to me it's just saying that traits are inherently masc/fem. I mean at the end of the day it doesn't make a difference to me what you identify as, but I don't get it.

Ehh, yes and no. The pic you linked to seems standard. They're just telling you about the current promotions they're running for that hotel. It's up to the person booking to pay attention to what's being offered, and the conditions.

Tobi has a fountain, too! He does drink out of a bowl if he has to, tho (the fountain is in the living room, which is closed at night).

He sometimes sleeps on his back and it looks hilarious.

He also gets compliments for his furr... so we're very proud owners of two very pretty cats. :3

Your last paragraph had me going hmmm... This might be a little personal, but would you say your parents are good at parenting? Do they do what's truly best for you, or do they do what they believe is best for you? Because if they're not great parents to you, they're hardly going to be great parents to a cat.

Oh, well worth a watch when you get the time. Both routines were hilarious!

Honestly I think they weren't terrible but weren't great. My feelings about them are complicated. But the thing is, my dad was always a super strict parent. Both of them were. So he's sort of the opposite type of parent with animals that he was with me.

This. I have a very hard time trusting that someone has good intentions when they cry 'but I'm so worried about their health!' or something like that when talking about a fat person. Because so many people suddenly LOVE to play doctor when it comes to fat people's bodies, but they won't say shit about a skinny person, even when someone looks just as unhealthy as someone who's morbidly obese.

(Anonymous) 2019-07-14 11:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I honestly enjoyed both, but I can totally see why people would enjoy the series over the book. It had a little more focus than the book.

Believing that gender traits *exist* does not mean that you think they're inherent or biologically essential. For example, they could be complex social and intellectual and cultural constructs.
