I'm going to go along with some of the other people and say that just because they use regular movie/TV actors, many of whom have not been formally trained for voice-acting, for their casts doesn't automatically make them "better" than the trained voice actors who spend far more time in their craft, especially when the latter gets paid far, far less than those big names who are really only there to draw in audiences who wouldn't otherwise give a damn about an anime movie. As it is, stage/screen acting is considerably different from voice acting, and I've heard a lot of people on both sides of the business say this, therefore making it a bit unfair.

115. I know the feeling, as many of the other female fans I run across in my fandom of choice seem to be all about the slash, and I've just never been into that. I keep looking, but it's either that, or they're a bunch of vapid squealing twits who are obsessed with het shipping and little else, and I'm not really into that either.

...Okay, I think I officially need to get back into watching House, so watching this community doesn't spoil me anymore. Is it strange that when catching up on a show I just found, I don't mind being told about major past plot points or ongoing arcs...but when I've been falling behind, I'm disappointed to find out second-hand? WTF, how is it different?

Anyway.

108. Not!secret of my own: I have no hate for Ten/Martha or anything, but I think they had the chemistry of a dead tree stump. I would really love a Ten/Martha shipper to explain to me where on earth they saw chemistry between those two, because I genuinely didn't see ANY after the flirty first meeting between the two of them. (Which, to my mind, was ALL promise and no payoff - it died a brutal death at that awkward face-suck.)

And I really, REALLY don't see how people can see chemistry between Ten/Martha, and then miss the Ten/Donna completely. Those two had amazing chemistry, whether you read it as sexual or not. If Ten/Martha shippers could all see the DoctorDonna, I'd think I was just missing something about Martha.

Shipping a non-"official" ship (i.e. anything other than Doctor/Rose) and missing the awesome DoctorDonna = WHAT. Does not compute.

117. That's...hideous. The first FtM/MtF pairing on television would be more yay if the style there wasn't simply the ugliest thing I think I've seen in ages.

105. Christian Bale is my Howl forever <3 I don't like watching dubs that aren't that professional, though. Seiyuu are superior when it comes to normal anime. Sadly, only stuff as high profile as Miyazaki will get good dubs.

Just wanted you to know, that I personally am offended that you're essentially publically dismissing ALL the authors in the Merlin fandom as crappy. Way to slam the fandom before it's even really been born.

I'm not arrogant enough to assume that I'm THAT awesome, but I work hard on my writing and I know a good few other authors in the fandom who do the same. I'm a published writer in real life - I have SOME skill and I've been devoting time to my Merlin fics which I COULD be devoting to things that would actually be making me money, because I love the show, I enjoy writing fic for it and I want to give the new fandom some material. The fact that you can't immediately find mind-shattering awesomeness in a fandom that is FIVE EPISODES OLD should really not be surprising and is not grounds to start bemoaning the lack of 'good' authors.

I'M good, damn it, as are a lot of my friends, and we're effing trying here with preciouse little to work with which is almost certainly more than you're doing. If you don't like it, try writing it yourself instead of dismissing us all as 'dissapointing' this early in the game.

Re 136 - I can't decide if I'd prefer them to say as brother-sister kinda friends or if I ship it, but they are sweet together regardless. Can you imagine the kids though? I doubt their brains would fit inside their skulls... The parenting debates could be interesting though, given the parent issues they both seem to have had.

And while I'm on the subject; I don't know if the OP of 146 is male/female/gay/straight/bi but I'm a fairly straight female and she is one of the few women I would still need to think twice about.

110) Omg! I was about to make a similar secret, lol! But, yeah, I saw Meet The Robinsons a few days ago on tv and was blown away. I had no idea it was that good! 106:I guess I had a similar reaction, except for me it was Shirley's death I didn't cry at(I already knew Nunnaly wasn't going to die), which made me feel a bit bad, since I liked Shirley :( I didn't except myself crying over Lelouch's death, because of all the shit he pulled in the end, but when it was revealed why he did it...my eyes was tearing up :,( (I was watching with my brother, and I didn't want to cry in front of him, so I had to hold them back)
