108. Truth is, I really don't see much chemistry between Ten and Martha. Someone pointed out that actually, they very rarely seem to work together--usually one's off in one part of the crisis and the othere's in another or something. Which means Martha can totally save the world in her own right (well, she does). Or more that she's just...autonomous or however you spell that. But I just thought the point of their whole relationship was that she liked him and Ten was just simply Not Interested (I always figured that was at least part of the reason he wouldn't shut up about Rose--talking about the ex is usually a good way to stave off interest).
That said, I think you have a point about his chemistry. Rose/Nine had much better chemistry. I dunno.


126. Mmm, I never saw anything wrong with those secrets. Fandom's a way to inspire you to do things. I finally sat down and learned how to play guitar because of Alan Doyle (and Sean McCann). There's a handful of things I've done because it seemed like the thing X would do, and it's usually just another way to have fun.

I doubt it has anything to do with the woman's faith but more with the public's belief that Muslims are terrorist, backwards, barbaric, etc. It's nice to have positive role models to look to when the images of your religion in Western media are overwhelmingly negative. #132- I don't like either. "Sickles" just makes me cringe and I just don't see Charles/Pickles. But it was one of the early pairings along with Skwisgaar/Toki for some reason.

I'm a Nathan/Charles, Nathan/Toki, and/or Charles/Skwisgaar person myself.


#156- I know. I have met more people from all over because of fandom and it started way back before the internet. I have more social interaction because of my fandoms than I do in normal life.

'Real' actors? Fail. Try doing a little research lest you make secrets like these that showcase how utterly ignorant and obnoxious you sound. =\

Facts:

- 3 beep method: Used by Disney and TV Anime dubs. Not sure what you were getting at here unless you never bothered to check the special features.

- Most anime dub actors have had or still do stage work. They do voice work because they enjoy it, because it sure as hell isn't for the money.

- If it sounds 'artificial' to you, thank the Japanese execs who approved it. The dub has to meet their standards, or it doesn't get put on the air.

- I love most of the Ghibli dubs, believe it or not--but there are some instances where the voices did not fit. Considering the comparatively lax schedule they have to do these dubs, I find that strange, but then there's also the fact that they will sometimes hire big names just to draw in crowds.

- Speaking of the deadlines--tell me, how much easier is it to do lines for a 90-120 minute movie as compared to...a series that spans over 100 episodes and has to be ready by the time a Network demands it for airing?

Research. Please do some. But please do not insinuate that some of the most hard-working and talented people I know are not 'real' actors.

That's because they're more focused on getting the lines within certain time restraints as opposed to emotional delivery; the fact is: you can tell the difference between an actual actor (who knows how to use their voice to convey emotions) takes on a role and some guy who's just reading off a script. Any chump can do what a majority of anime dub actors can do, as long as they can read aloud.

108. Agreed on quite a few counts! I don't really ship Nine and Rose, but I like their relationship a HELL of a lot more than Ten and Rose, which is just... no. (Seriously, if she hadn't left in Doomsday, I quite possibly would have stopped watching.) And I do love me some Ten/Martha, although strangely, I think there's MORE attraction on his behalf after she leaves him XD

Oh, and I do ship Ten/Jack - very very enthusiastically XD Even if Doctor/Master is my OTP, Ten/Jack is my favourite pairing - if that makes sense.

And I do find it hard to ship Donna, although I very much like Donna/Martha ^_^ (The hugging! All the hugging!)
