I’ve hardly watched any of his movies but I know he was a very cool guy and though there’s a good chance I’ll enjoy this movie overall I was not happy to hear about his portrayal.

It's already the first here, but yesterday was very quiet for me - I went to the blood bank and donated plasma, and then I went home and sat quietly for the rest of the day.

I watched it a few days ago and was disappointed. It's quite boring and long.

Tarantino just sort of generally sucks. He needed a character to fill a specific narrative cliche. He didn't know anything about Bruce Lee, but half-remembered some stuff he heard about him that one time that sort of fit the cliche he needed so he decided to run with it.

My NYR is to start telling people when their responses to me talking about my chronic pain are unhelpful so that they hopefully stop saying it in further situations. “Oh, you’re too young to be dealing with that!” So fucking consoling, thank you.

Cleaning like a FIEND.

I'm taking out the trash and hoping to start a new year and new decade on a cleaner, brighter slate.

Also eating cookies. Because the diet begins tomorrow and I've been prepping for it all month and the only shit food I have left in my house now is 2 cookies. Woot. Back to keto I go.

Hmmm, maybe more tolerant, but MUCH less vitriolic. Example: Relena Peacecraft. There were plenty of fans who called people out on all the hate that character got for getting in the way of the gay, but the sheer hatred for her as a character was WAY worse than anything I can think of that I've seen with a male character of the same type getting in the way of the sapphic vibes.

My resos for this year were mostly weight related. And they failed. My depression curbstomped me BAD.

This year, my resolutions are a bit different than a weight number to hit. This year my goal is to stay on keto for the year. Don't set a weight goal, just stick under my calorie count and stay keto. I know I'll lose that way but I won't be as obsessed with the number on the scale.

Other goals are 'plz. just. write more'.

And pay of debts. I've done my budget up and I should be out of credit card debt by August! My consolidated loan I'm not worrying about this year. It'll be gone in three years at the worst, so I want to get rid of my card debt and get a bit of a savings/emergency fund going since I'm currently SOL if anything out of the ordinary happens.

My new year's resolutions are pretty low key - I've got a list, and I want to tick off as many things on that list as I can each day. Take my meds, do some exercise, do some art, that sort of thing. Just a little effort every day.

Oh yeah, almost forgot - I want to do a little travel in my state, because I never go anywhere and I want to see some of the tourust attractions we have.

I completely agree! I like subtext over explicit interactions for any paring, be it het or slash. I like being able to see the inner workings of their relationship rather than having it explicitly stated, or having the dialog chosen for me, y'know?

She was a pretty terrible character though, tbh. Like, she basically had to harass Hero into doing anything with her, like him tearing her birthday invitation apart right in front of her while saying that he hated her, was just as much reason that people didn't like her along with getting into the way of the gay.

I never followed much if any F/F, so I saw no evidence to this, but I do agree that as bad as people could be there were some people who tried to defend the female character people hated for getting in the way of their ships.
