Hmmm, maybe more tolerant, but MUCH less vitriolic.

Seconding this so hard. For a lot of shippers, nothing is to awful for the female character who comes between their ship. She's a psychotic, moronic, narcissistic, slut/bitch/cunt, and wouldn't it be awesome if our fave shot her in the gut, stepped on the wound, told her what a slut/bitch/cunt she is, and then put a bullet between her eyes? Yeah, it'd be so satisfying, and nothing more than she deserves.

I've just never seen the kind of vitriol directed at male characters who obstruct the ship that is directed at female characters who obstruct the ship.

Nah, there's hundreds of years of media like that. Fuck the homophobes and give everyone representation.

Working. And I have to wake up at 4AM tomorrow morning (New Year's day) to get work at 6AM because my work is open and having a big sale. Ugh. But at least I'll be getting off at 2:30 and then I've got 3 days off.

Being dragged out to a Texas amusement park to watch fireworks.

I wouldn't mind the fireworks if I didn't also have to be subjected to thousands of smoking, spitting, white trash.

I want to lose weight and ideally I'd like to try working out at least 30 minutes every day, even if it's just yoga.

I love the idea of this setting, but I am leery of how romance-oriented the plot seems to be. I indulge in shippping as much as anyone, but I’m so very tired of all stories everywhere revolving around characters’ love lives.

Semi-related question but can anyone tell me if her wings look better in motion? They look unconvincing in the still pics I’ve seen, including this one.

Otherwise known as, ridiculous things you do/think that make sense to you and probably no one else!

Basically, I had two ridiculous headcanons that I wanted to unleash but had nowhere to put them!
One (which I have, and will post below) is that Luthor (Umbrella Academy) WAS actually sent to the Moon for a reason.
And Two, (which is lost somewhere on my old iPod) is that Chidi (The Good Place) is actually gay, which explains a number of his successes/failures.

Luther was sent to the moon for a reason!!
What started as a joke/conspiracy theory for fun became something I seriously headcanoned once I said it out loud.
The idea that everyone's powers come from the moon.

Luther was sent to the moon because, like many super strengthed individuals, he has an advanced healing matrix as well. It wasn't enough to turn him half ape, so Hargrave sent him to the moon to enhance his healing powers and save his life. He left Luther there because he needed all of the Umbrella kids together for his super secret plan to work, and giving him a purpose was the best way to do just that.
It's why Klaus was finally able to conjure his father/Dave so easily despite being sober, and why he saw so many ghosts while kidnapped by Cha-Cha and Hazel regardless of when/how many people they killed. (Since he was able to make it though rehab multiple times, and not completely lose it/have Ben maim him every time he fell back into the habit.)
It's also why Five would be able to transfer him, and all of his siblings back before everything went to shit. The moon had basically hit Earth at that point, so the extra power added to the regression in age and being able to transfer more than just himself.
Ben is obvious at this point, he was able to hit/have a heavier influence on Klaus because of the moons orbit. Between the two of them, Klaus was able to give him a physical form which Ben was able to act on, given his Umbrella lineage.
Vanya has her powers magnified similarly to Klaus', because they've been pent up for so long. Her mental issues are also probably similarly affected, which is why she snapped so badly. (Generally, I know that going off her meds has a typical euphoria effect due to the brains chemical imbalance trying to right itself. Which Vanya definitely showed, trying to explain herself to her siblings after killing Leonard.) It's why her blast targeted the moon specifically, since that was where their power came from in the first place, and despite Cha-Cha's words, why the apocalypse had to happen there/then.
Hargreave's himself had that weird scene with his wife(?), (who played the violin, similar/the same as Vanya's) and blew fairy dust out his weird futuristic windows. He's introduced by flying an advanced jet like aircraft down to the house in order to bribe the mothers of the Umbrella children, and who the fuck has an android/monkey slave regardless of how much money he owns??!

TL;DR
Basically Hargreaves blew fairy dust from the moon in order to created advanced children he could manipulate in order to control future events?

I get halfway and cringe.

Actually, I watched several random episodes, which included the first episode. There was definitely an intense hatred for Relena, but not all of it was unfounded.
First episode or not, it's still a rather intense scene to show how much he initially despised her. The character development can only go so far when it's specifically very one-sided in most every way.

Me and my friends (all former emo kids) are gonna call it it the Rawring Twenties.

I finished a needlework sampler for my friend and now I’m just chilling in my room, watching Doctor Who, and avoiding my relatives until the ball drops.

For some reason I only read it as Once Upon A Time, so I was very confused as to why Bruce Lee was one of the characters in a fairytale series.
I didn't actually know it was that guy who made the movie, and as much as I didn't want to see it before this, I want to see it even less now. That's terrible.

Mine are the same very year (write more, lose weight, save more money), but I’m adding a new one: learn how to play guitar. I’ve always wanted to learn how to play, but we couldn’t afford lessons when I was younger. I can now, but I’m gonna save up first for a good guitar and then find a good teacher. I did do more writing in 2019, but I wanna actually finish something in 2020.

The Batman one especially, but I've always been a fan of Stucky as well!

All the fairies’ wings do a sort of hummingbird-blur when they fly. It’s not super convincing to me, because they’re so small relative to their body sizes, but it’s not horrible.

Just hope this year ends with a new president for the US. And Trump doesn't do too much damage in the meantime. My other hope is that I get a job soon.
