2. I completely understand. The Compilation hasn't pleased me at all thus far, and while it's exciting that Zack is getting so much attention, I get the feeling that if I ever do get to play the game (I don't own a PSP, so who knows who that's going to happen), I'll probably just decide to not accept it as canon and keep on loving Zack the way I always have - based on the game and nothing else.

That doesn't mean the rest of the FFVII fandom is going to do that, though, which probably shouldn't upset me as much as it does.

16. I'm in Paradisa, myself, and I disagree that it is 'most'. I think it is only a few. For example, most of the characters you named on that picture..are ones that stay pretty IC to me. Farfarello stays insane without turning into some yaoi-crazed softie, Governor Swann is..uh. Cracky. Rainbow Brite is Rainbow Brite, Lois Lane remains IC and as a character who wants to get right to the story, Gatts remains his rough-around-the-edges yet heart of gold self, Yuna and Vincent seem pretty IC to me, ....are you talking about ones you have not mentioned? I could name a few more that are sticking to being pretty damn in-character.

In fact, I like that the game does not revolve around pairings to keep it thriving, but instead focuses more on crazy plot happenings. Though, I admit, and I will not name any particular characters..that a few, as of recently, have been rather blatantly OOC for the sake of yaoi.

Weep, weep! I am the Gatts player at Paradisa, and I am a HUGE FAN of the Lois Lane, there!! (The Shampoo and rainbow brite, too. D: Hell, I love the player!)

Was he on that list because he is OOC? I have been reading Berserk for over 5 years, and I'm pretty sure that post-eclipse as the black swordsman, he's no softie until he warms up to Schierke and co. in Volume 26 and 27, which is not where I pulled him from. I promise he's not prancing through flower fields or secretly lusting after every man in Paradisa or being unfaithful to Caska with Ino or converting to happy religions or anything. I try to keep him as the asshole he appears to be on the outside, and keep him as the softie he is on the inside. He hardly RPs with anyone so it's not like many people have gotten to know that side to him ANNNDD

WHATTTTT On the Lois Lane character!? I've been a fan of almost every canon incarnation of Lois Lane since the 80s, and I don't see how she is OOC.

And perhaps I don't pay too close of attention to Toph, but what is she doing OOC? I mean, there is blatant Zutara happening, and people are picking on Toph for being OOC? All I've seen her doing is being her reclusive self. perhaps she should be a bit more bossy..? I don't get it.

Yuugi and Naruto I cannot say much for. I mean, there are people compromising characterization for pairings in there and I see Lois LANE getting attacked? :''(

2. I have a feeling Crisis Core is going to be better than the other compilation games, if only for being set in the SOLDIER era. Zack without a last name was fun to have, and while I don't mind the new last name, I guess I can see where the fear's coming from.

But, like in DOC, even with all the crap they spewed out, they still kept Vincent free to interpretation, you know? And his character didn't change. I have a feeling neither will Zack. ♥

3. I didn't hate it, but I prefer the books over the movies. Fujiwara Tatsuya (sp?) just put me off a lot. That and I wanted to cry when I saw he was Raito in the Death Note movies. ;-;

4. Wow... I think that best friend would really lose all my trust if that had happened to me and she said that. While what you did wasn't the smartest thing to do, I hope things get better for you.

I need get back into Paradisa as well, since I'm going to be picking up more characters. More often than not, I want to potray the characters ICily.

Which isn't too hard with my characters as of now, they don't have much of a canon as it is. Even if you translate the Japanese version.

I have no coment on who plays characters IC-ily and OOCily. But Gatts is awesome and on the dot from what I read of the manga so far [I'm up to volume 15.] so unless I don't know of some huge change that happens to him. Lois was also played pretty decently too I thought, since she's from the series. And . . . well, Rainbow Brite is . . . ahahaha.

A ton of the characters are a tad bit cracky though I must admit.

10. My most recent ex kind of got the same treatment. He was a 4chan troll and decided that he should join me on a nice little cosplaying adventure at Nekocon 9 this past November. After I found myself in full costume crouched on the floor drawing the designs on his Aizen coat with a marker while he bitched and belittled cosplay in general, I snapped. I think my friends were surprised I didn't stab him in the eye with the marker and he apparently failed to realize that when I was 'playfully' beating him with Wabisuke that I really wanted to be inflicting PAIN! He was right when he accused me of not caring if he lived or died after that weekend of hell.

13. Agreed. I usually play uke due to playing with people who just prefer seme, even though my uke tend to be aggressive.

Awh!~ Actually XD as the player of Rainbow Brite, Shampoo, and Lois Lane, I have to say I'm more amused that my male characters weren't pulled for being OOC. I'm far less certain and up to date with Thundercats than where Lois came from, but certainly, my interpretations could be way off base. =) In cases such as these, I just wish people would talk to me and give me guidance, because I can't know what I'm not told.

HOnestly, when you feel I don't "deserve" to play such awesome characters, I don't want to rape your idea of who they are. Tell me, talk to me, I'm not going to be offended. Actually, I started laughing so hard when I read through this that I was sad that there was a great possibility the author of the secret wouldn't contact me to tell me what I'm doing incorrectly. =)

Also... I'd love to hear why none of my male characters didn't earn the same OOC merit. =) One would think they would, given the mangling of the female three.

Personally, I constantly worry about Rainbow Brite. Why? Because I watch her series and movie time and again and know it's odd to have her be in Paradisa anyhow. She shouldn't have a neverending supply of star crystals, she has her belt, she's suffering from a lack of Starlite, and can't remember Earth. Heck, she has no express purpose, since color is about what she works with, and telling people to be happy or to not be gloomy is what I've fallen back to.

Shampoo and Lois Lane I think others have touched on, and I absolute want to hear what I'm doing wrong.

I also think there are other OOC characters which I'm amused weren't named above. Then again, isn't that the nature of things? Some irk us more than others. ♥

Sidenote on 4) I'm distressed to hear your friend was so callous. Out of all things to be said in the situation, pairing bashing? Life isn't fandom; and while there is a coincidence, it's not appropriate or helpful.

14. I entirely agree that her novels start sounding all the same to me. I ended up liking Pride and Prejudice because I felt it was slightly different.

11. I know what you mean; I also know that if I want to RP, I'll ask; if I start conversation interplay, I'm assuming it's crack, and actually not RP. I find it amusing, but not a form of RP as traditionally considered.

3. Actually, this sounds interesting - character potential can be a wonderful thing.
