Weekend Plans DRUNK EDITION!

What is everyone doing this weekend?

I will be trying to figure out how the hell to make a tank top for the duck I crocheted. He is a bit wonky. :/ https://i.imgur.com/iXvLruL.jpg?1 Right now, I am drinking and playing OW with my sister. Other than that, nothing much because I think it will be raining all weekend.

I spent too much of this week being drunk to be drunk rn but you go get it with your bad self.

anyway I'm picking up a preorder of a dozen native plants tomorrow, m'gonna plant and then m'gonna sit back and wait for the rain to nourish them. My prairie patch is doing well so now I'm shifting to adding shade-tolerant forest plants and wildflowers.

My boss gave me one case to work a bit on. Should only take me a couple hours. Also, we have someone coming to clean our house tomorrow afternoon, so I need to tidy my room a bit.

Other than that, will be watching The Great. If I finish that and still have time I'll go back to watching Rizzoli and Isles.

Drinking is fun. I'm on pain meds right now, so no drinking for me. It is pouring and thundering here right now. Hope you and I both get some sun this weekend.

I think your duck is cute and I envy you the probable rain. I’ll be weeding, grocery shopping, doing laundry, all that fun stuff. Maybe bake some muffins, idk.

I hope I find out soon when and how my work’s gonna reopen to the public, because I desperately want to take at least a week off beforehand. When we were furloughed, I was too busy panicking about my finances, my job, my elderly (only, few) relatives, and my health to enjoy it, and now that I’m back at work I get to add in panicking about catching covid on the trolley and passing it to coworkers. I want some time off where I can just ignore the news and stay in for a week instead of constantly having to check my work email for instructions and compulsively pouring over local news in fear of budget cuts. Especially because I have tons of time off that’ll go unused otherwise, because so many events were cancelled.

Uuuugh I am just sitting here and feeling pretty rough tbh
and of course also lowkey stressed because I went out and hung out with a friend yesterday for the first time in like 2 months, and now I feel tired and headachey and stuff and what if???????

But I'll have a bath after dinner, and go to bed early, and try not to worry.

I'm the only one, but I'm actually disappointed that it's not gonna be another snowfall (EXTREMELY odd for this time of year) this weekend where I live...
I'm drinking myself, will probably keep drinking tomorrow, and then the next say if there's anything left. But otherwise I finally discovered a way to keep myself from over eating, and it's to visualize the bulk of food I eat on my forearm. (be warned apparently this make less than zero sense to anyone but me) The (approximate) surface area from just past my wrist to the natural crease about an inch before my elbow is all I'm allowing myself to eat in a single sitting. Every hour post meal I remove a fifth of the 'consumed' area, so basically after eating a 'full' meal it's a five hour interval before my 'tank'/arm reads as 'empty'.
It's helped me quite a lot since I have moderate OCD where I feel the need to eat all leftovers before my family throws them out in fear of food being wasted, and a slightly severe OCD where anything on my plate must be eaten otherwise it'll go to waste. More than that is that I don't necessarily get full or hungry, basically I don't feel it, so there's no real STOP my body sends me to stop eating, I just have to gauge it. Luckily I am very logically minded so I can override my OCD by way of visual evidence that my stomach can only hold so much and a forearms length is plenty by far. Obviously I still become anxious and all that, but for the first time in years I was able to stop eating a slice of pizza halfway and pack the rest of my meal up in the fridge for tomorrow.

Are there any new things you've gotten into?

I've just started watching The Great. Only watched episode 1 so far, plan to watch the rest this weekend. It is great so far, in spite of having a very lose hold on the actual history. Russian history is an interest of mine, and yet the fact that this series openly chooses to not be strictly historical works in this case. It is just really well done (I think anyway, we'll have to see how the other episodes are).

Also have been watching Penny Dreadful: City of Angels and am enjoying that so far. I never watched the first Penny Dreadful show past the first few episodes. But the premise of this spin-off interests me much more, and plus Natalie Dormer is always amazing.

Ohh, I've been meaning to check out The Great!

For me, I started reading The Black Jewels Trilogy after that secret a while back saying they didn't like it... I'm thoroughly enjoying it myself but can TOTALLY see why the secret maker didn't

So in the past couple of days a few keys on my keyboard have randomly decided to stop working? I'd understand the problem if it were all the keys or they were iffy all the time, but it's only the W, E, R, and left control keys that seem to have this problem, and sometimes they'll fix themselves just as randomly as they'll break. It doesn't feel like anything's trapped under those keys either, though that may not rule out that possiblity.

Has anyone else had this problem or something akin to it?
