107. i'm not ashamed because it's het, but because it's ridiculous. neuro has no respect for anyone (as far as i can see), and a relationship with yako would never work. the fact that it's het just gives it the SLIGHT possibility of happening (unlike my slash ones, where there's not a chance in hell) and i'm all sad because this is the only thing i ship that will actually disappoint me when it doesn't happen.

It feels like what we're seeing here is a classic Mormon case of "People will persecute me because I'm Mormon and they're jealous because they can't have the truly of ugly undergarments and polygamy that we have."

124- Ugh, I know. I'm a Huddy shipper and have been for a long time and so this season excited me for that more than anything. The main reason I still watch, my boyfriend joined in near season four and so he's not tired of it yet.

You know, I've never actually understood that. What the hell would being Mormon have to do with Smyer's total inability to write or grasp appropriate gender roles? I've always thought that most of the shit people talk about her religion is just Anti-Mormon propaganda.

That said, don't be afraid OP. Write. Enjoy it. Forget about the lamer and remember that Twilight is just a stupid trend. It'll blow by this time next year, just you wait, and nobody will even remember why they thought it was so great.

To be honest, a lot of people bring up her religion because her religious background clearly influences her views on the roles of men and women, as well as the role that marriage (or the eternal marriage in the church/being turned into a vampire 4evaaaa) should play in their relationship.

The fact that the books suck is not really a factor of her religion (although I've heard people argue that it is a factor of her being a college drop-out housewife, which may or may not have anything to do with her religious beliefs, and also may or may not be extremely classist, depending on who you talk to.)

I come to f!s for wank/complaints/etc. That's pretty much what it's here for, imo. I just wish that the people on my flist would post SOMETHING other than whiny shit about fandom. I friended them because they're friends irl, or people I know from various internet activities, etc. Bit by bit it seems like my entire flist has stopped posting the insightful, hilarious, normal, and fun stuff that I friended them for. Wank has taken over. Then they bitch if I don't comment on it AND drag it over to my journal as well, where I sure as fuck don't want it.
