Well, Sharpay WAS sort of the "villain" in all the movies. Even if it's just Disney, there's a certain formulaic plot that was followed, and Sharpay just happened to fit in the "villain" role almost every time....

132 - The comic book Joker is overrated, overdone, and just plain over. I was finished with him after Killing Joke and Death in the Family (not to mention No Man's Land). He's simply not interesting if all he's going to do is escape from Arkham, kill people, get beat up, rinse, repeat. Boring. I avoid almost everything with him in it now (except for The Dark Knight, and I didn't want a Joker in it but I was satisfied by Ledger's performance). I like a good villain, but I also like a redeemable villain.

144 - LOL are you sure? Holmes wasn't all that woman-friendly IMO...

131 - Wow, talk about a tragic ship... But I can actually kind of see it, even though to me it's very much a father-daughter interaction. They have some fantastic on-screen chemistry, and Uther's admittance that she treats him as the friend he needs to be treated, constantly questioning his judgement... It did warm my heart to see her forgive him for her father's death.

According to Urban Dictionary, they are petite, non-Asian girls.

101 - She could so totally get into Juilliard with her parents' money anyhow, but I do think Juilliard would break Sharpay's attitude. That could be a good thing, but that could also be the very sadistic me (who thinks she needs to get taken down a few pegs) wanting her to experience a bit of "real life" without her parents or her sparkles to back her up.

That said, I think her continuing to find herself and what she really wants/is capable of in New Mexico wouldn't be so bad. I kind of liked the idea of her staying in town so she could continue to upstage Tiara, because for all of Sharpay's schemes throughout the movies, at least she wasn't an honest-to-god backstabber like Tiara was. She got close, but.... Thing is, I get the feeling that she'd want to be "the star!" even post!graduation from East High, and Darbus would have to find a way of letting her down without losing Sharpay's talent for the stage.

I do think Ryan needs to break away from Sharpay so he can be on his own, instead of her overpowering him for life (as they sang in "I Want It All," You and I/all the fame/Sharpay and what's his name?). Maybe the solution would be for Ryan to get big first, Sharpay to take it hard, but then she'd find her own niche and shine just fine on their own, and then when they're older they could be the dynamic duo of acting with a bizarre sense of chemistry and no explicable (they'd keep their twinship a secret, of course) reason.

...I've thought too much about this.

Also... was I the only one annoyed that she didn't actually wear that dress in the movie? At prom she had a shorter dress, and at graduation she had pink pants!

144-I would not go that far. I love his imperfections.

118: While refusing to take Ghostbusters II as canon is always fully justified, I've always assumed that they had a relationship between the two films (look at how Egon reacts when touched in the first movie vs. the second - dude has to have gotten laid) and Janine finally realized that it wasn't what she really needed. (Doesn't excuse her messing with Louis in the second movie, but eh. Also, I need a Spengler icon.)

138: I enjoyed it, but I'll admit I find it somewhat forgettable. However, two of my RL friends are obsessed with this movie, largely because of the soundtrack.

161: I cannot think of another show that better exemplifies "free your mind, and your ass will follow." I fully support this crossover!

171: Oh, come on. If you're going to start believing in aliens, find a better reason to do it than a light SF show with bad continuity. (Sorry, fellow Whovians, but continuity on this show blows even worse than normal for time-travel fiction.) There's plenty of other things out there to get excited over aliens for (SETI, anyone?).

165 - My parents would like to have a word with you. :P Also, there are plenty of people who LIKE "happily ever after" endings. (Myself included.) SMeyer's work is shit because it's shit; if your work is good, a happy ending isn't going to change that.
