151. That music video is the best one they have ever put out.

The bears themselves are rather inoffensive. It's the "taking them to meet the actors" that I think is seriously creepy and makes fans look silly. You just know the actors after conventions are mocking the bear-toters like MAD. Grown men do not find stuffed animals cute. Not even gay men. In fact, JB's tirades against stuffed animals are a thing of hilarity in and of themselves.

153. That pic feels distinctly like the part of the fandom I've always felt was like 'the other side' to the one I'm on. I started out feeling uncomfortable with the concept of Hetalia, and seeing that part of the fandom (making naff fanart of WWII as a food fight and trying to make their own OOC jokes about massacres) first really put me off it.

Then I read the bloody thing, found the part of the fandom that did humour that agreed with me and learnt to treat the characters as characters. And enjoyed it.

I agree with the other comments on 'stfu about political correctness, people have feelings' - and that combined with that pic offends me; and I'm a fairly long term image board user, I dare say I know and like offensive jokes too well/much and have ignored disagreeable opinions enough times.

Am I the only one crossing my fingers and hoping when the anime comes out, we won't have a flood of young teens making bad jokes about war crimes and claiming to be edgy because of it?

150. They're countries. They're not even really human, I doubt 'blood relation' is a real... issue for them. It's not like people hesitate to pair Alfred and Arthur together. Also, plzplzplz moar of Belarus and Ukraine. My girlcrushes are yet to be satisfied no matter how we all sit about talking of their awesomeness.

114. I got into Nabari because of Yoite, then I liked Miharu and them both - but I still get the feeling we've had enough of them and it's difficult forming new ideas. I sort of lost motivation for the fandom because of that, and the things keeping me hanging on are the crack fan jokes about Thobari, Raikou and Aizawa.

127. I usually let this slip, but there are some people who are just too proud of being the only 'DuoMaxwell' on a site or something. Like, it gives them 'first dibs on the character', whatever they hope that means.

124. I used to have a similar sentiment (though I'm not a KH fan or into bishies at all). I was interested in the stories and would watch other people play for hours, but actually playing them myself didn't interest me. Console apathy? I dunno. Then, earlier this year, I decided to give video gaming a try. It was more fun than I thought and I'm glad I changed my mind. Maybe it would be similar for you, if you gave the games a chance?

144: IxA is a fairly twisted kind of awesome, but a lot of the people who follow Hellsing and similar series aren't in it for the 'shipping. They're in it for the rest of the story, or the art, or the gore, et cetera. Nothing wrong with that, so why the harsh attitude?

124: Uh, not that KH or FF are particularly deep or anything, but...why immerse yourself in a fandom if you haven't even played the source material? It just seems like a) you'd be missing out on a good chunk of the plot and characterization necessary for writing fic and "getting" the in-jokes, and b) would be more than a little pointless. That would be like me attempting to get into the Bleach fandom. =/
