AxI Shippers: I know it's hard to believe, but there ARE some people in the fandom who are simply don't care about your pairing. This even includes people who don't prefer the characters in other ships. We just don't have any interest in yours. It happens. Get over it.

109. Never really thought about it, but the writer/director of Brick cited Cowboy Bebop as one of his influences... so JGL might be a cool choice. Honestly, though, I always saw Spike as a person of color -- maybe half-black or Latino or something. I feel like I'm the only one.

I can see him as a Latino for sure, although I've always pictured him Asian because of the origin of the show.

124. You don't need a console. Download an emulator and ROMs and play the games on your computer. Better yet, FFVII and FFVIII are legally available for PC - kind of old, but possibly available on eBay or bittorrent if you're not willing to buy.

I pretty much have no interest in "look, they're doing (insert potentially couples-related action here) in canon, they're obviously canonically fucking" type pairings because my same-gender roommate and I are that couple. If our lives were a fandom, our shipping base would be having fits every episode from all the hand-holding we do.

It is completely possible for two people to have a valuable, fulfilling, platonic relationship in which human contact is a strong factor. In fact, it's pretty dang comforting, to know that one has a friend one can always go to for a genuine, complication-free hug. Sometimes sex doesn't need to be a factor. This, really, is a large part of the reason I don't ship a lot of non-canon slash, or non-canon pairings in general.

Platonic love needs more love.

I don't really ship anything, I just like to read them all and have fun with it. I wrote Ruby/Castiel not long ago, just for fun. I really just like to write crack or one shot stories. The Ruby/Castiel I wrote is onesided, but it was for fun.

I do agree. I'm not into the weak Castiel thing. I just want a good story where the characters seem like themselves.

Um, if you actually read the post, the fans bonded over the fact that we are supposedly hormonal fujoshi with no knowledge of or respect with history and that particular post secret was the 123467th secret on the same subject (okay it was the fourth one). We explained to the other side, but some have no interest other than being completely right and the fandom to submit to them. I think a good deal of the fandom know that the material will be offensive for some, but I wish that some on the other side didn't do the generalizing bit though. Communication really had broken down by that post. Seriously, what much can the fans could say. That's why the "cool story bro" thing was the only way to take it instead having to listen what the complainers had to say and them ignoring what we say to them. The fact the same shit came up over and over again since the fandom even agreed with some points posts earlier, yeah, communication breakdown was apparent.

135. Maybe I'm alone to think there's no shame of not knowing how to drive? Since when such a thing is that important that you actually have to feel shame over? Hell, I will put it out there that I don't know how to ride a bike and feel no shame in that. I simply didn't see the need in it (especially when I wanted to learn to rollerskate more).
