129. I could have made this secret. I lost my Mom on December 6 because her doctors decided that ignoring crippling headaches for a MONTH in a woman recovering from breast cancer was a great idea. They ignored her symptoms and ignored my protests that her pain and confusion wasn't normal, and they cost me my best friend. I would much prefer a doctor that acts like an ass but properly treats you than one that kindly ignores you.

Bah, there's always a horrible uncertain period when you have no idea if something's going to rock or fail hard. 120. I dunno, I get irrationally fucking annoyed when I see anyone making sweeping generalizations and hating the fans of ANYTHING, including series I'm not into. If it's series I (and therefore, way more importantly, my friends) are into? It disgusts me.

Way to go, haters. Keep right on hating, you'll never meet some fucking awesome people if you discount them just because of one thing they like. And that's your loss, but it still hurts to see people I care about being spit on for no reason when I know how lovely they are.

123. ..... Do you ignore the fact that 90% of the Hetalia secrets have been saying they hate the entire fandom, and therefore... the people who make those secrets aren't in the fandom? So yeah, it definitely has a big enough fandom to make secrets about, especially if a lot of them are in response to random vitriol secrets from people OUTSIDE the fandom. (See: 125.)

To put it into perspective: you just made a Hetalia secret, and I'm guessing you're not in the fandom. Therefore... subtract all the secrets made my people who, like you, are not in the fandom, realize that a lot more are in direct response to those secrets (and in that case, even a fandom who only has ten people might conceivably have all ten people make seperate secrets responding to the hate secrets), and it makes way more sense.

I like all the characters, not just them, and am more interested in most other aspects of the series than I am in shipping it, thanks.

Still, the first part of your secret is ridiculous. Those two characters are fucking awesome playing off each other, and are cool together, ship-wise or not, yeah, but they're also both way too fucking badass for you to imply that there's no way to enjoy the show unless they're shipped. 125. Hetalia does bother me because I think it's really tacky. More people died as a result of WW2 than live in almost any country on Earth. Heck, even if we just go by strict military casualties--which were in excess of twenty-five million. And it's not like WW1, where the veterans are almost all dead (seriously "almost all": there's one US veteran of WW1 still alive.) Plenty are still kicking, and I think we owe it to them not to make jokes about their countries getting raped and whatnot.

125. Even the Civil War has some relevancy in today's society, so I think we owe that kind of respect to soldiers and other war participants from all periods. Right?

Anyway, I'm saying that as a both a fan of Hetalia and as someone who's had relatives and friends affected by the horrors of WWII (among others). I don't like the way a lot of fans portray events in the series, but you know, sometimes humor is the best way to explore painful things for some people, and that's why I enjoy the series itself.
