There's been a few that have done some fantastic sewing and crafting to create pieces for their bears that they couldn't purchase. There's a girl, and I can't remember who she is, who created Jack's coat for her bear. I am working on a Cyberwoman Lisa bear....its coming along miserably, but I am determined to get it done.

Me too, dude. I was devastated when he died - much more so than when anyone I actually knew died (I mean, not that that wasn't devastating too, but, oh, Jim Henson). Up until that point (I was 9), my goal in life was to work with him someday; I've honestly never really had an answer to the "what do you want to be when you grow up?" question since then. And it feels lame to be that hung up on the death of someone I never ever knew, but he was so amazing and so inspiring to me when I was little, and he has continued to be for my whole life, and I can't help missing him so much.

Yeah, I see your problem with Dean/Castiel. Fic writers are so busy idealizing relationship, they kind of forget what goes down in the scenes between Dean and Castiel. You watch a scene or two with him and the you see Dean at times having trouble meeting Castiel's eyes... like, I dunno, as if Castiel is putting the fear of God into him? He's not a vulnerable little uke, and it's lame he gets treated that way.

I still ship it, but I'd pompously argue that I have a little better understanding of the characters than some fic writers do. Har har. Maybe I should shut my mouth and write something some day.

108. i don't think castiel's any of those things and i ship dean/castiel (in an admittedly pls to not be consummated way)! although castiel *has* occasionally shown himself as fascinated by humanity and being a little detached from it so i like his naivete towards people being played up. his naivete as a being in general, though, that's a separate thing to me. This is the last time I'm going to say this: Yes, Hetalia can be offensive. Yes, there is emotional baggage tied with this kind of series. And yes, I acknowledge the face that people will love it, hate it, and everything in-between. That's because we're all people, and we all feel differently. I'm not going to say that you can't feel a certain way, or that you're just being butthurt, or that you need to get over yourself.

But I'm fucking tired of having to defend myself for liking this series. You don't like it? Fine, I accept that. But YOU need to return the favor. You can't demand that people respect your opinions, then turn around and not respect the other side's opinions too. It doesn't work like that.

I can't speak for the entire fandom, but I can speak for myself: I am making the effort. I recognize that people don't like this series, and I respect their opinions. So why not give me a little respect in return, huh? It's really dickish of you to keep saying "Everyone who likes Hetalia is a horrible person" even after I say "it's fine, you can feel however you want."
