I loved Percy and I was waiting so fucking patiently for the redemption you knew was coming, but when it did it seemed so rushed like JKR totally forgot she made him into an asshole and had to rectify things before the end of the series. Though, I disagree in that I would totally hit it, character and actor.

127. The same happened to me... I had just read Macbeth, and I liked it... but then I saw Slings & Arrows and that scene where one of the writers was auditioning (in season 1) and read "Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow" solidified it as one of my favorite books, and that as one of my favorite passages in literature.

185. You know, I'm tired of secrets like this honestly. Yes, I've read Afganis-tan who actually did 9/11 and I wasn't offended and yes, I'm New Yorker who lived in the city for most of her life and knew the fear that was going on that day. I remember the fear that I couldn't reach my family who were in the city at the time. Thank God, none of them decided to go to Lower Manhattan that day (my grandmother has a habit going there early in the morning to shop around there), but I had to comfort a friend who lost an uncle who died a hero for putting other before himself and her mother had to walk through that horror. No comic could offend me more than what my own nation did with the event anyway.

And honestly, Hetalia doesn't even make fun of tragedies, it's worried being a World History trivia before anything else. It isn't more offensive than say Carmen Sandiego.

I've been reading western comics for about 20 years, and manga for about 10. I love them both equally.

117 -> Despite the mass amounts of overplay that song got here (I live in Denver, which is where The Flobots are from, and one of our local stations is pretty obsessed with them) I still LOVE that song. Usually mass-overplay on the radio kills things for me, but it wasn't the case with that song. It's very epic and has a pretty potent message. Lots of their songs do, actually. :3

140. I love Earth 2. I love Adair/Danziger. I wouldn't say it's the greatest love story never told, though. It could have been wonderful and yeah, the way they left it hanging sucked, but at least it left plenty of room for fanfic. It's been years since I've read anything, but I do remember some really awesome fic for what happens after... either ways to heal her or ways she dies. I don't know if anything is still up anymore, but go looking and maybe you'll find some.

Do you have any good sites to recommend? I haven't looked for Earth 2 fanfic in ages but the show is so unpopular that I hardly found anything, let alone anything good.
