114. dude, no, if you've never read them that's what the books are. if you do read them they have more literary references and deep themes and ideas about good and evil than anything other children's literature I've read. and they do it BETTER and more REALISTICALLY than Harry Potter, which I also love.

142. I do agree with this to a degree. Personally, I've never found any Japanese comics aside from about 3 anything special. I think there are some far better comics coming from America which deserve more attention. I really like a lot of Japanese bands though... BUT, I don't know which bands are perceived as "popular" anymore, so I'm probably not listening to them. Japan has some totally awesome bands, though. In the end though, it's all just personal preference. Some people may think something totally sucks cock, whilst others may think it sucks cock in a good way.
