The fairy tale show was Grimm's Fairy Tales (I think that's what it was called) and I really want to find episodes of that now. I remember they showed versions that were closer to the original stories.

It's not so much that I think it's an insult, I just don't like the new songs that he's writing for them. I think if they'd stuck to the old hits as a tribute and not tried to make a new album.. I'd like it better. Freddie was the main songwriter and it just can't sound like 'Old' Queen without him.

Brian's said that they deliberately did new stuff because otherwise they *would* have been just a "tribute band." Queen wasn't just Freddie & 3 musicians - it was an honest four-way collaboration and Brian & Roger were in the band first anyway. They hired Freddie, not the other way around. And you might be surprised, but Brian wrote just about the same # of songs as Freddie. All of them penned several of the band's hugest hits.

I only watched it in the form of, my dad loved it and I was too young to appreciate until a few years later.
So I grew up in a Peaks-centric household.
BUT.
Yes. I was torn between utter hate for it (NOT TO MENTION THAT THERE ARE NO FRICKIN' SUBTITLES ON THE ENGLISH VERSION FOR THE CRAZY ASS BAR SCENE - FOR YEARS I HAD NO CLUE WHAT THE HELL WAS HAPPENING), but then FWWM had gratuitous Albert in it.
And I love him so much it's not even funny.
