This coward!anon thinks that it has less to do with character hate and more to do with desperate national pride and the history of WWII in east asia.

It is kinda like if some German student in America made a web comic about WWII in a light and joking tone with cute characters, and then a German TV station broadcasts it on a predominantly youth audience oriented channel, and then the fans defends it for it being a comedy, lighten up and get over it you Jews.

The worst part is, Germany really did try to amend past wrongs. while some recent Japanese politicians still visit the graves of WWII criminals to honor their "bravery".

I think that some people are genuinely asexual - as in, they don't want to have sex. And there's nothing wrong with that. But I do tend to think that so many people in fandoms throw that word around and don't really mean it.
