Personally, I don't believe Walt would've had that much of an issue with it. I mean, he lived in the roaring twenties, and quite a few jazz singers were openly gay or bi.

Ok i've never posted on fandom secrets before but I need to say this.

Now I can't speak for fandom cause I'm not involved in the online stuff [I have a nice group of friends that all love the movie to bits anyway so it doesn't matter]

But from where I'm sitting One; all the hate secrets seem to have be done to promote the movie rather then discourage people from viewing, two; Its fine if you don't like the movie. It is really not something everyone will enjoy.

I can only talk about my own experiences and that of my friends. I got interested someone posted here about Tony Head singing in Repo and how hot he was [and it is worth while watching anything with him singing in it] So I bought the soundtrack and had a listen. That was last November.I must have listened to that album over 150 times by now and I'm yet to get sick of it.

Now about the batshit-ness of fandom. I can see where non-fans of Repo or even randoms that have never heard of it may get annoyed with the fans. Again only from personal experience I had to try so hard to be a stupid obsessive and yes batshit bitch around my friends when I first fell in love with this movie cause it would A; annoy them and B; scare them off ever watching it when I finally got the dvd.
So I imagine the rest of fandom is rather like that except when you're in a group its harder to keep a lid on the crazy. It is exciting and extremely gratifying been part of a group that loves something as much as you do and from the outside they do appear completely batshit. But I have to say that lack of backlash from fans on this comm [which fans have used to promote this movie] says something about them.

Now someone above was posting about they enjoyed Repo! cause it was like an elaborate joke on Paris Hilton and Sarah Brightman. I'm just curious as too why would you think that? I mean I get it literally, Paris!=spoiled rich girl, but overall the movie isn't about them. Besides Sarah Brightman was the producers second choice when the first lady dropped out and they didn't even want Paris in the movie.

I'd be incredably sorry if my actions or that of my group of fellow fans cast a negative light on this other wise amazing movie and prevented others from giving it a go. So I'm sorry and I do hope that you enjoy the movie if you watch it

To be fair, there's only a year between them - Tripod in 1997, FotC in 1998. But yeah, Tripod became well-known a LOT earlier than FotC ever did, even within the comedy scene itself. I've been in to comedy since 2001, and Tripod were pretty huge then, and NO ONE had heard of FotC.

117. I wish he would get off the show. I find their "love moments" the most boring parts of the show, and really think he has no role when it comes down to it. I don't know why they're so afraid to toss him out and let her move on. I agree, it is cheap to keep him on. Last nights (the 13th's) was interesting except for their stupid moments. I hope he's suspicsious enough that he leaves or something.
