113) Defacing other peoples property... it's just not cool. It's not yours to put the mark on. Someone worked hard to make it for everyone to enjoy, not just those few who will smile at the reference. If you want a calling card that says "hey I'm a Naruto fan" put a leaf on your backpack. Maybe then that person who sees it and smiles will come up to you and share the love back.

If you see it as a competition everyone loses -- you because your enjoyment is tainted with envy and doubt, the rest of us, because we don't get to see your efforts, because you no longer freely share them. Really? You don't see the ethical problem in killing people without having any insight in what actually happened? He didn't sit in at the trials (if he actually bothers to wait for them to have a trial, because apparently civilised justice is too slow and humane for him), and he has no way of knowing whether or not the justice system screwed up and convicted an innocent man or woman, something that's far more likely than it should be (and I give the show enough credit to believe it's the same way in animu-world).

He has no way of telling.

Add to that the fact that he kills indiscriminately to protect himself, and actually feels justified in doing so because he accounts himself a god, and above the law. In other words, putting a sociopath in charge of physical justice.

You really don't see any problem with that?

I hate that sort of thing so bad! I've pretty much stopped writing fanfic because it's happened more than once and it bugs the hell out of me. I work really hard to create my own style and unique phrasing; last fanfic I wrote, this girl came back and read twenty-five times (thanks ljtoys!), never left feedback, then posted her own story that lifted the plot and several specific sections, and copied, almost word for word, the sex scene. And I'm really easygoing about this sort of thing - I'd think 'imitation is the sincerest form of flattery' and not let it bother me too much if only she'd taken a minute to leave feedback.

122 - Neither did I. I can't really feel bad about it since I've never really been into American comic books.

147 - I agree. I can think of maybe one character that I hate more than him (in a different series), but I couldn't stand him. Throughout the entire series I just knew that he was going to have a pathetic ending, and when he did, it was so rewarding.

171 - see icon You know, you can like both. Liking Zutara doesn't automatically make you crazy. I find crack ships more fun to ship than canon ones half the time anyway, in Avatar and in almost everything else.

Please, tell me where to find said Yume Nikki fandom, I've been wanting it so badly. All I can find are some Yutube videos and a couple pictures on Deviant Art that are mostly of Uboa... Even if you hate the fandom, point me in its direction, please?
I've tried to get my friends into it, too. They also don't seem to care.

It's scattered to the five winds. There's not really a FANDOM per se, mostly just people musing about it on various message boards and the few RPers there are.

But http://mikuchan.net/onoff/ is probably the closest thing this game has to a centralized fandom.

"Hate" is probably a bit strong of a word... But I don't care for a lot of people's theories, and a lot of them are really depressing. On top of that the game's "plot" is a bit of a touchy subject for me, as last year I essentially became a college hikikomori and wrestled with a pretty deep depression. I managed to get out of it on my own, but playing this game later helped me reflect and move on. I don't think a lot of the speculating fans "get it", if that makes sense. But now I sound like a whiny bitch, soooo. >>

For a more logical, less emo reason, a lot of the fans are just fucking WEIRD, and only seem to notice specific characters in the plot. There's all kinds of characters that do weird stuff, but nobody really focuses on anyone but the girls and Masada.

omg Rome secret! Yes! I always wonder where the fandom for this show is.

And I'm probably a worse feminist than you, because I can't help but feel sorry for Vorenus. Even though he's a hard-headed, volatile bastard. After all, Niobe and him? They could've been happy, if it hadn't been for the plotting of those more powerful than him. So yes, I lay part of the blame for Niobe's death on Servilia. Wtf, self.

I do kind of ship them a bit just because their relationship was so sweet towards the end of Seanon One. And then the writers had to ruin it. *cries*

But as for Servila . . . ugh. She wasn't just (relatively) bad, she was boring. A character like that- insane, vengeful, manipulative- could have been SO MUCH FUN, but instead I started falling asleep whenever she came onscreen. And of course they picked the two most yawn-inducing female characters for the femmelsash. Sigh.

I LOVE Ghost Whisperer, but even I can admit that the show jumped the shark when they killed off Jim. Rather than killing off his character to give David Conrad more screen time, the writers should have just made him a more integral part of the show.

That said, I can also admit to having mixed feelings about the storyline. The Melinda/Jim relationship is what drew me to the show and it sucked to see it end. So when Jim took things into his own hands so he could stay with Melinda, I was kind of thrilled because it kept the hope alive that Melinda and Jim would eventually reunite. However, I hate what they've done with the storyline. I think that, thanks to all the uproar from the fans, the writers realized too late how wrong they were when they killed Jim. Therefore, they rushed the Sam storyline so that the fans could see their favorite couple reunite. I'm just hoping they'll be able to resurrect the storyline and eventually put Melinda and JIM (NOT SAM) back together.

Also, much as I dislike the Sam storyline, I'm thankful that it kept David Conrad on the show. He's too talented to lose. Not only that, but, even if the material's not that great, David sure has done an amazing job with it. I knew he was a great actor, but he's definitely proving it with this material!

I also love Zuko/Toph (aged), Zuko/Jet, Zuko/Mai, Zuko/Sokka and Zuko/Aang(Aged), Katara/Toph (aged), Katara/Jet, Aang/Toph (aged unless it's just fluff), Sokka/Suki, Sokka/Yue, Sokka/Toph (aged), Azula/Haru (IDK why D:), Azula/Mai, Azula/Tai Lee Azula/Mai/Yai Lee, Iroh/Ursa, Ursa/Piando, Iroh/Fortune Teller...

I'm sure I could go on. The only pairings I actually dislike in Avatar are incest and Kataang (probably because they feel very much like brother and sister to me, so they are honorary members of the incest category in my brain ;), though not disliking a pairing doesn't mean I like it.

And no, I am not saying they are incestuous, just that if feels that way to me and therefore hits one of my squicks.
