You really think that EVERYONE who dislikes the sequels is just stupid? You can't even consider the fact that people can understand the movies perfectly and just not like them? Wow. The funny thing is, you probably think you're so smart, but really, the inability to realize that smart, perfectly reasonable people can have have different opinions than you is pretty ignorant and small minded.
For the record, I've never seen the sequels, and I really have no desire to.

130. I don't know if I learned any life lessons from it, but I definitely felt like... well, it addressed a lot of the things that I worry about and made me laugh about them, I guess, which was nice. And I went into it thinking it was just going to be "lol it's like Sesame Street but with sex and drinking and swearing isn't that funny?" so I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was wrong.

I played The White Chamber! ... but I could not for the life of me figure out how to save during the game, so every time my computer crashed (as it does) I had to start the whole damn thing over again. 121. IAWTS. I've read the book many times, seen the miniseries version, and I still can't see what's so capitally wrong with the 2005 version. I loved it, and Matthew McFadyen can call me anytime.

129. There's nothing wrong with being straight and loving femmeslash. There's something really intriguing about seeing strong bonds between women, whether it's sexual or not, that I just love. I think it's because we don't get to SEE very many strong female relationships that we can relate to on television -- not compared to male/female and male/male, that is. Women are so often depicted as adversaries or in competition for a guy that it's refreshing to see strong women who are drawn to each other in any way.

I don't hate regular slash, so I can't speak to that.
