It sounds like you're losing the ability to enjoy fiction because of how REAL and IMPORTANT your life is, and that's frankly sad.

I know the OP of the secret. She is in a very serious and dire situation that invovled abuse, not going into any more details. And some of the people, who she considered "friends" I use the term loosely, treated her horribly when she decided to step back. I don't really understand why she still hangs around them. I understand why she is bitter, and why she made the secret, even if it worded badly.

I also noticed that all his books seem to end with an obligatory "let's-sit-down-and-more-or-less-explain-the-entire-theme-of-this-book!" moment. That sort of irks me a little bit. :/

I TOTALLY AGREE!!!!!!!!!!!! It breaks my heart when she goes from calling him Billy Buddy to suddenly Captain Hammer, then when she's waiting with the frozen yogurts and he's singing about giving her a new Australia, then in the end her final words...but the ending is just glorious with his closing words and the symbolism in the colors...ahh I love Dr. Horrible!!!!

A Matrix sequel secret? Really? Now? In Two-Thousand-Frigging-Nine? Five years after we all realized that the whole endeavor to make sequels to a perfectly self-contained movie with a sequel-defeating ending was a poor idea and moved on with our lives? Years after we understood the fifteen-minute drivel argument at the end of Reloaded that the Wachowskis lifted from Simulacra and Simulation and ended up not really giving a damn? After the dude who looks like Colonel Sanders, the least-suspenseful "To Be Continued" of all time, and that gatdang scene with the Zion Rave? Now? After the Wachowskis have moved on to Speed Racer and quite possibly the end of their careers, and well after Keanu has burned out any blockbuster status he had, you still want to bring that up?

148. TRU FAX: My sister is an actress and worked with him on ... something awhile ago. (I don't remember what; I want to say Numb3rs, maybe? I know she's never done 24.) For the following month or so, she was in raptures about Mr. Buchanan -- apparently he's quite the stud in person.

Hinata was a 'burden' because she is not/was not a very strong person - not because she's female.

The female characters have been given the same treatment as the male characters, as far as I can tell, and receive attention as best serves the story (rather than receiving attention just on the basis of their gender).
