Agreed. I wouldn't vote no-confidence myself, but I'd rather do that than not show up at all. If you don't show up at all, the assumption is that you don't even care enough to drag your ass to the polls.

Plus, it's possible to vote in protest for one office on the ballot, and vote for legitimate candidates for all the rest. If you choose civil disobedience in absentia, you throw out of the option of voting for any other office.

153. But...he *is* a rip-off of Batman, that's the point of his character. He's that world's Batman-ish superhero archetype. That doesn't mean he's any less of a character of anything, especially since the whole story is supposed to be a commentary on the superhero genre to start with, but I don't get why you're saying "Oops."

Actually, no, Dan is based off of Ted Kord (aka Blue Beetle II). As Blue Beetle isn't exactly the most popular character in comics, I can see why people would make the assumption that Nite Owl is a Batman ripoff superficially, but it doesn't really hold water when you see him in comparison with Ted Kord.

Dan's too much of a dork to be a Batman anyway.

Let's do it together, people of fandom secrets. There really needs to be a fandom. It doesn't have to be large or anything, but Goddammit there are more communities for Lie to Me in Russian than English.

So, how does one create a fandom? I guess one would start by revitalizing the main comm, creating challenges for graphics, layouts, fics, etc. Then, go from there.

As long as I can be head of the Dr. Gillian Foster fan club. Snacks at every meeting!

117. My problem with the first sequel (didn't watch the second) was that I sat through it knowing exactly what it was trying to tell me, and watched it struggle and fail to find a way to express it.
Final Fantasy X did that ~twist~ better.

159. This game moved me to tears, and I don't think a lot of games ever did that. Of course, I am a hopeless Magus fangirl, so I am biasedand cling to everything that gives me new info...

While Jack is kick ass and all, he doesn't really have much to him character development wise.

Bill (and Tony) have the character development, along with the kick-assness.

While it's awesome to see Jack going around kicking ass (we keep track of his kill count from episode to episode), I really love Bill and Tony to bits because of the character development.
