102. I felt the same way for the longest time. I was so afraid that television guys and relationships had ruined me as far as expectations for a healthy love/sex life outside of fandom, but... it actually helped in the long run.

129. oh, definitely! Both are awesome characters and I love them equally, but you're completely right. And I don't think it's a secret on the shows either. Spike points this out quite clearly during that epic fight in AtS.

There's about a 1 year gap between P3 and P4's release dates, discounting FES, and Nocturne came out in... 2003? It's 2009 now. We're way overdue.

104. I agree with you, but for other reasons. I don't judge a person's work as evidence of their feminism (or anything else for that matter). I judge it by how they act in RL and treat other human beings. All evidence in print and by insider knowledge says that the crappy way he treated Charisma Carpenter when she became pregnant, the vile way in which she was treated (i.e., punished for getting pregnant) all during the filming of S4, and her subsequent firing without any notice clearly speaks to Whedon as about as anti-feminist as you can get. And, btw, he's a storyteller. The stories he tells are made up fantasy. I don't buy them as evidence of his character any more than I'd buy Poe as a mass murderer based on all the death and mayhem in his stories.

129. I don't see one as morally superior to the other. I just like Angel better because I think Boreanaz is way hotter than Marsters. LOL! However, if I were to argue the point, I would say that Angel did have a soul for about 100 years during which time he suffered greatly for all the atrocities committed by Angelus. Spike received a soul and suffered pangs of guilt for about a month in a basement. So in that respect, the "I've rumenated over my past crimes" scale, Angel does have the upper hand. I suppose others would argue that Angel drowned in self pity for a 100 years before trying for redemption and Spike pulled himself out and began doing "good" quickly and, therefore, is better. IMO, they both are good and bad and everyone will tip the scale toward the vampire they happen to like best.

166 - jeffree star is amazing..

I can't think of Byron the same way anymore after reading some book that was basically AU historical fanfiction in which Byron was a vampire. Who was a little gay for Percy Shelley.

That...is a bit terrifying.

133 ~ Without knowing who is involved, it's impossible to say the usual comforting things, like "I doubt that's true" because really, there are some people in fandom who are like that. BUT, for what it's worth, anyone who would pretend to be your friend just to keep you writing fic isn't worth the time it took you to make that secret and you, by virtue of caring about other people, are a much better person than he/she ever will be.
