I grew up with his music and his videos and his general celebrity presence around the pop culture world, and to me it always seemed like he never got to have an real childhood and wanted to recapture what he missed out on with Neverland and whatnot - but also never having a real childhood meant he never truly figured out (healthy) adulthood.

I read femslash sometimes, I have some femslash ships, I'm bi in RL, but I prefer to stay in the M/M and het communities in fandom for the exact reason you outlined. Or at least, that's one reason. I'd almost forgotten it was a thing, I'd been so successful at avoiding that element

I love S Andrew Swann's "Dragon-" trilogy. As far as comic fantasies go, it is pretty good. Shame I seem to be the only one who has read them.

And Willard Price's Adventure series, which is just a nice series about teen adventurers.

I can't understand people who send death threats over fictional or fandom shit. They must be very immature and haven't figured out that the world doesn't revolve around their personal preferences.
