106- I heard a lot of gross rumors (well, slightly more than rumors, given that they were from sources I trusted as opposed to random internet stuff) about his behavior surrounding and following the broken engagement with Sandy. I'm also not really liking the "Ruby is sweet and submissive and just wants a man now!" transformation this season. So, I can't say I'm loving Sam/Ruby, or that I'm particularly excited about Jared/Gen, but it has nothing to do with Gen. I think she seems pretty interesting in interviews, actually, and she's doing a nice job with the role. I just don't like the role now that Ruby's a lapdog instead of a wily player of the game in her own right.

154- I bet you ten bucks that if the guy on the right had been the one to pull Dean from Hell, tell him good things did happen, tell him he didn't envy the weight on his shoulders and that humans were works of art, he would have a following as well. Heck, he has a small following even as a pissy antagonist who didn't shamelessly eyefuck one of the leads in all of their scenes together.

158- I'm in the same boat... love MC and Castiel, but think his acting is overpraised at times. On the other hand, I do recognize that it's a complicated role, balancing the otherworldly detachment with reverence for humanity with growing affections and feelings. Sometimes he succeeds at striking that balance, sometimes not. I think as Castiel is humanized, and MC can bring a bit more charm to it (like the other night, with the hinting about the archangel solution), he'll hit less false notes.

THIS. As pretty as Castiel is, I also love him for the fact that he was probably the first person to tell Dean that he wasn't completely worthless. Not that I think that he's just a plot-device to give the poor thing a desperately needed self-esteem boost but that's a valid reason to like him.

I actually can't stand people like that. "I REALLY LOVE GAME X BUT I CAN'T PLAY IT BECAUSE I SUCK AT GENRE Z HEE HEE :D" Games are games for a reason, and they also have difficulty settings. If you love the lore as much as you claim to, you'd make the effort to play it even if you suck at it. I suck at RTS too, and I still managed to play the storymode of StarCraft.

If it makes you feel better, I almost did the same thing back when I was in high school?

Except I never once attempted to write fic or anything, and there were some differences in the boys in my school. One was a popular athlete, and another was a close friend of his who was already in an arranged marriage made by his parents. But with their constant teasing, joking around with each other and general bromosexual undertones to nearly everything they did, I couldn't help but think they made the cutest couple ever.

But yeah, I slashed people I barely knew IRL, so don't feel so alone, I suppose?

It is SO weird to see people talking about Paul Bernardo in an unfamiliar way because I mean I knew SO much about him - I live about an hour away from where he committed his crimes, I've known about him since I was like ten, and he’s currently being held in a prison in the same city where I go to university, and it’s NOT a big city. I haven’t seen the movie, and I hope they didn’t romanticize him, but you have to separate the man from the character. It’s not like he did that because he is like Paul Bernardo.
But yeah, I’m ALWAYS uncomfortable when people use pictures of him in that character, because like....he’s playing Paul Bernardo wtf.
