Good for you anon!
I don't need my ships to be canon, but I love it when it happens.
One of my ships started from "ha-ha this people who were on screen together for 5 seconds have chemistry" and over the RL years of plot they became close and then they progressed to a couple. Really fun feeling

I've only read it once, but I agree, the Targaryens are... an interesting bunch. Really illustrates (no pun intended) the concern about the madness being 50/50. Goddamn, the things that family did to each other.

Good on ya OP, it's always good to like things and screw the people who think you should like one thing over the other.

That said, both ASOIAF and Tolkien's Legendarium are stories that I approach through secondary/tertiary sources (Wiki hopping, meta, lore videos on Youtube, etc), precisely because I do not have the patience to slog over the source material (primary sources) but would like to engage with it too.

Regardless, it's probably /the/ most understandable thing to me from your entire secret to worry about someones mental state regardless of actually knowing them or not.
Like you're not infringing on them personally, or becoming delusional over their interpreted relationships, you're not so obsessed that you can't see where other people are coming from when they dislike them. You care about them, and even if you weren't a fan, I think it would be more abnormal to /not/ worry about someones heath, mentally or otherwise, when something stands out to you as something particularly worrisome or 'off' even

Rather like how we're interacting with her in this event, the only other time in game we interacted with her canonly was during another limited event. So yeah, the Traveler does know her but if you weren't playing the game then, then you missed it (I only know because I watched the cutscenes on youtube, I wasn't playing the game during that event. Look up "Unreconciled Stars" if you're interested. That's also actually where the Traveler first met Scaramouche).

Sucks that some characters you don't really get to know outside of events but it seems to be something Hoyo is going to do in general. Like how we have most of Albedo's story from limited events as opposed to anything in the game...even his story quest isn't really about him, it mostly focuses on Albedo experimenting on the Traveler.

One reason why I'm so annoyed MCU is going Multiverse is that it makes it so easy for the writers to have one million dramatic deaths without actually committing to any. It's like the old What If? comics with a multi-million dollar budget when they're really only worth maybe 20 cents in the bargain bin.

I do see your point.

I think it works for In Character reasons though. Allison:

1. carries a lot of guilt about basically ignoring 7 when they were kids
2. IS making everything in season 3 about her, and,
3. is kind of a dick? often a well-meaning dick, but she wasn't divorced for no reason, so...

(I'm not damning her specifically. All of the UA kids are flawed individuals, that's part of the story.)
