What lines in a fic have given you a good laugh? I started wondering this after re-reading a fic.

The line: "Seriously!" pleaded Alex through the door. "This Egg Drop Soup is about to become truth in advertising!"

...what even is the CONTEXT there? That sounds fascinating.

What are the things you have rewatched or reread the most? Let's say top 5.

Well, I've probably watched The Lion King over 100 times in my life.

The other top 4 would be Gladiator, Bioshock, Band of Brothers, and The Thing.

Law & Order SVU (I do a season 1-9 rewatch almost every year SAVE ME)

Buffy
Gilmore Girl (I don't really like it, but it's linked to very good memories so it's a comfort show for when I want to turn my brain off)

reading: Lord of the Rings/Silmarillion, Watership Down, Hitchhiker's Guide series (except Mostly Harmless, I read that exactly once).

watch: Star Trek (TNG and DS9) and Buffy, only because those are the only things my rewatch-obsessed housemate and I can agree that I can stomach watching yet again. I really don't like rewatching things to he high degree I've re-read books, while she'll just binge Scrubs every month or something.

Series:
Black Books, Red Dwarf, Death Note (anime), xxxHolic and Adventure Time

Movies:
Galaxy Quest, Van Helsing, Dare Devil, X-Men and The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Manga:
Tokyo Babylon, X, xxxHolic, Chobits and Fruits Basket.

I don't really reread books more than once. At most twice, but the only titles I can think of is Banana Yoshimoto's Amrita and Kamikaze Girls by Novala Takemoto and its been over 5 years since I last picked up either books.

I reread all of these every few years. Usually I get a hankering for one specific scene in my head and then just end up reading the whole book or series again.

Good Omens, Stephen King's short stories (var.), pretty much everything by Poe, short Holmes stories... a lot of short fiction, actually, and poetry and plays.

Movies:
Transylvania 6-5,000, The Princess Bride, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Bram Stoker's Dracula (any vampire movie and any musicals, tbh)

TV:
Midsomer Murders, Twilight Zone, Star Trek TOS, MASH, Hogan's Heroes, Good Eats, The Zoo, var. cartoons that can be put on for background noise while working, specific eps of Always Sunny (Charlie Work EVERY time, Mac and Dennis Move to the Suburbs and Flowers for Charlie and The Nightman Cometh)

Call of Duty has a shockingly big fandom. I guess I've always associated it with 16 year old boys so I was shocked by the amount of (slash) fanfiction.

Inception. To this day I will remain baffled at how large the fandom was considering it was one of the least shippy movies I'd ever seen. I'm not surprised it had any fic as I expect most shows/movies to have a little something, but it had way more than I ever anticipated.

COD has definitely seen a huge boom in fic thanks to the Modern Warfare remakes and the subsequent Soapghost craze on social media. Even prior to that, the original MW games especially had quite a bit of fic written for them.

Phineas and Ferb.

If books are allowed:

Isaac Asimov's Robot Detective series. Four novels, two written in the fifties, two in the eighties. One TV series, most of which was wiped by the BBC. One game, I think, mercifully forgotten. There really is a TON of fanart, most of which is seriously wonderful.

Possible reasons for the popularity - the robot is canonically very handsome, and there's a frenemies to buddy-cop noir set-up in canon. Altogether very slashable.

Biggles. Canon consists of a hundred or so mid-century children's novels and one very eighties film. There's been a load of fanfic lately. This fandom is less surprising, I suppose, because a BNF has recently taken the books up. OTOH it has a lot of attitudes of the era and a Nazi villain (who has been woobified by the fandom. gah.)

I wish I could learn to machine sew clothes but I don't have the space for it.

So many crafts. Woodworking, woodturning, pottery, diorama building, doll customisation.... mostly not doing it because of lack of space, lack of tools and lack of funds.
