obviously i don't know all the things that make you think its too late, but i hope there's a way for you to enjoy it still! sometimes colleges have certifications for forensics.

i had a similar but different inspiration from CSI, which is that i wondered how the prevalence of the show was affecting how confident people felt in lab analysis. a couple studies mentioned that it was really hard for defense attorneys to challenge blood evidence because of it, but it was only a couple so i don't know how accurate it was lol.

Lots of colleges have reduced price or free classes for seniors. When/if I get to retire, I'm going back to school babeeee.

It probably really isn’t too late. When I was in my late 40s I decided to chase my childhood dream. I had people 20+ years older than me in almost every single class. Whatever you’ve done before will only work in your favor for getting hired and your age alone makes you a better candidate for advancement than your younger coworkers if you decide you want to take on some of the administrative tasks, too.

My aunt became a SOCO (scene of crime officer) in her 40s. She didn't have to go to uni for it, was trained once she got the job.

There is no "too late".

I don't think most forensics positions have a mandatory retirement age. There are lots of different paths and there are a lot more colleges now that offer online degrees. I'm not sure what you're looking to pursue - digital forensics, DNA analysis, chemistry, biology, etc. but it wouldn't hurt anything to take a look at what's available and see if anything is viable.

TBH OP, I think it wouldn't hurt to look into forensic sciences and see if you can learn something in the field. There might be jobs where you can get into the field without needing the credentials or to have taken on a traditional school-to-field pipeline.

I definitely can relate to regretting not getting into a line of work I dreamed of in my youth <3

Double edged sword for Oppenheimer because people seem to be doing their usual contrarian stuff and turning on it because it swept all the awards. With some people even going as far as saying RDJ got a career AA when that was his best acting in years imo.

I know I'm biased being a science fiction fan and all, and I am a little burned out on remakes and sequels, but in terms of 2024 so far Dune Part II is legit a great film.

I've come across this a couple of times in fanfics that took place during the clone wars. It's bad enough when the author uses it for chapter titles but when the characters use BBY to talk about their current year, it's just... why would you do that?

It was never going to be about Rogue. The original idea was actually about Wolverine first joining to help the X Men fight Magneto. But that whole deal fell apart so when they started talking again about making an X Men movie, they decided to include that. They ultimately used everything from the very first idea in the later movies, including Trask and the Sentinels.

Come on. It annoys me when people insist "spoilers" ruin things for everyone and no one should ever know things going in. But it is equally annoying to insist watching all the trailers is the only right way to watch something.
