The VA of Valentino and anybody who is interested in his character (even while acknowledging he's a fucking bad person) is getting harassed.

This relies on the assumption that top = man and bottom = woman, and that m/f necessarily involves women being in the bottom. But women can top, and men can bottom.

I don't know. I've read a lot of shitty books from the past and I don't think they were really better than the typical shitty books of today.

I think there are two things that are really different. One, I think that people didn't really talk as much about generic crappy pulp 40 years ago or 60 years ago or 90 years ago, whereas today there's this whole new medium of communication where people talk loudly about it. I think this is basically a result of fandom culture becoming mainstream in a way that it historically was not at all. And two, I think high culture and high-end-middlebrow culture has generally collapsed in society over recent decades. But that's not really a literacy issue because it's shown up in tons of mediums. That's a broader cultural trend.

It's easier to say top and bottom than "one who penetrates" and "one who is penetrated". But fine.

The amount of variations of trans and vagina related tags I've blocked so far... I just wish people would stick to a few established tags instead of making new ones up all the time (or not tag it at all), not everyone wants to read their PIV fetish fic when searching for gay stuff. (And those who want to read trans fetish fic can find it more easily too.)

I do enjoy canon aces fics (I have couple of fandoms for that) but usually with canon characters authors do not need to get through issues and this fics can be fun.
I don't want to listen to ace issues, I am one, I know my issues. I am here for characters fucking maybe after defeating an evil empire

I block cannibalism, necrophilia, reader, most AU tags, all trans/neogender related tags, mpreg, omegaverse and recently, avoid autism related tags because while some characters might be read as autistic, the vast majority of fic that puts a very strong emphasis on it are just downright obnoxious to read and just an excuse to turn the characters massively OOC.
