I'm... kind of over all the nostalgia grabs. Remakes, reboots, remasters, even stuff "inspired" by (aka really just memed to hell and/or beaten over the head of the consumer, who's told its actually awesome and not annoying) old stories/media.

I know the original Lord of the Rings film trilogy is better quality wise, but I think I'd have more luck getting my wife to watch The Hobbit movies with me instead. She complained that the last time she tried to watch LOTR, it was "boring" and "confusing", and the Hobbit movies seem more simple and fast paced.

I think most (if not quite all) of the problems the book fans have regarding Francesca’s future romance with Michaela instead of Michael would be solved by simply having Michaela be a trans woman in the series.

SO TIRED of how anything to do with anyone or anything even vaguely related to Taylor Swift is IMMEDIATELY turned on her. A Chiefs player has been accused of domestic abuse and of course the TOP comment is shitting on Travis and by extension Taylor. How about we focus on the accused abuser/the victim instead of using this as an excuse to drag someone who has nothing whatsoever to do with the situation?

There's a girl in one of my fandoms who whines about how participating in Kinktober "traumatized" her and that she's not going to post her stories online anymore because.

It makes me wish that I could get her in contact with a war vet or a SA survivor who can tell her what REAL trauma is.
